Expected equipment / options for BMW i4 (US)

Not including the obvious things like cruise control here. There are also a couple of options I couldn't identify, with rear air suspension likely being one of them.

eDrive40:

Standard:
18" wheels
Automatic tailgate
Glass roof
Interior autodim mirror
Through-loading system
Interior trim finishers Black high-gloss
High-beam assistant
Active Guard
Live Cockpit Plus
Widescreen Display
M headliner anthracite

Options:
3 different 19" wheel styles
Steering wheel heating
M Sport Brakes
Adaptive M Suspension
Variable sport steering
Comfort access
M Sport package
M Sport package Pro (from July 2022)
M Sport brake, red high-gloss
Shadowline headlights
Seat heating front
Seat heating front+rear
Seat ventilation
Instrument panel Sensatec
M seat belts
Trims: oak open-pored, ash high gloss, aluminum mesheffect and rhombicle anthracite, M carbon fiber, individual panel in leather, individual piano-black
Galvanic controls
PDC
Driver Assistant /Pro
Laserlight
ACC
Parking assistant /Plus
HK audio
Live Cockpit Pro
M steering wheel
M aero package
M Carbon exterior package
M rear spoiler
Individual high-gloss Shadowline extended

M50:

Standard:
eDrive40 standard features plus
M Sport Brakes
Adaptive M Suspension
Variable sport steering
Interior trim finishers Aluminium Rhombicle Anthracite
BMW IconicSounds Electric
M Aero Package
M Shadowline

Options:
same as eDrive40, taking into account the features that are now standard and a different variety of wheels: 3 19" and 1 20" styles.

The press release has the air suspension as standard in the i4, regardless of the adaptive suspension.

I was able to read the following amongst other things as standard equipment (maybe only in Germany) in the official BMW press release:

All i4
3 zones automatic air conditioning
Parking heating and stand air conditioning
Acoustic glazing for the windshield
Traffic sign recognition with speed limit info
Front collision warning
Lane Departure warning
Cruise control with brake function
PDC front and rear with reversing camera
Heat pump

M50
Electric seats with memory function

No. It will be a new option for next year, and it will appear on other models too.

Unfortunately, I don't know what it'll include.

The European PR clearly states it will be an option, and the US one is not worded precisely enough.

I hope that it will be optional - better for lowering springs.

Its not, the press images of the interior feature a HUD.

It's possible HUD is an integral part of the new dashboard so it wouldn't show up as a separate item on the option list.

I'm surprised by the Live Cockpit Plus/Live Cockpit Pro divide - I assumed there was only one dash option going forward.

I guess the screen (and hardware?) will be the same, but the software features are different?

I checked the iX pricelist and there the different between plus and pro seems to be exactly the AR HUD, so I assume it's the same for the i4 - and the HUD mystery is solved as well.

Some custom MP3s pushed into the IconicSounds unit should get you 90% of the way there.

In Denmark, electric seats are not standard on M50.

Adaptive cruise control is also not standard in M50 or eDrive 40.

Once I have settled on the color I will go to BMW. They should have a configurator running. But delivery in Denmark is around Feb. 22

Yeah exactly. For i4, Pro version gets HUD + AR. Same size displays for both plus and pro.

Hopefully options won't price this thing too far above the competition. As it is, with $5499 due at signing, lease payments with tax will be about $900/month BEFORE options. Also I hope the rumors aren't true that the M50 weighs over 5000lbs. How can an i4 weigh more than a 7 series or a Tesla Plaid! Either way, with the BMW loyalists, and people not interested in having a Camry common Model 3, the i4 should sell well. Part of the weight difference is from the interior appointments and luxury that are on a whole level higher than the Tesla.
