so disappointing. just another car. how the same brand can make a m8 or M5 LCI which are current and relatively new, come up with this new 4 series.

so now i have to wait 5 to 7 years for the replacement, or go elsewhere. it would be for the first time I look elsewhere for my own toy in 30 yrs and 6 BMW's later. still keeping the M4 and z4 though !

the sad part is that BMW won't care as they will still sell lots of them to new market segments. but I do hope someone from BMW is reading online sentiments.

10" is right again. A very ugly car indeed. Not to mention big, about 187 inches long.

Forum full of whiners. Nobody cares that you don't like it. If BMW designers listened to all you haters from the peanut gallery we'd be driving Chevy Malibu clones.

And for the uninformed that think this is BMW's first controversial front end design, take a look at some other "huge bucktooth grilles".

Except those other grills flow with the rest of the car, unlike this atrocity.

Obviously not a true car guy. Otherwise, we would have heard the exhaust instead of his $h!tt¥ soundtrack.

Edit: I was reacting to the link in OP's post. Original lined by oz555 is much better.

Three of those could be sketched in ten seconds. One would take a week of torturous scribbling, erasing, redrawing, cussing in German (I'm good at this part) and just trying too hard. Awful.

I've honestly disliked every coupe after the E46, so I had no interest in this car, but now it's just a funny joke to send my friends.

The same video was used showing the same side of the car but using a mirror video the other sequence. You can notice that the car is lfet hand drive and after it's right hand drive!

You guys were not paying attention when BMW unveiled a special creation at the 2019 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este event, showing off a forgotten concept car from the 1970s. The BMW Garmisch was originally shown at at the 1970 Geneva Motor Show, but the car itself basically vanished after its debut.

That car remained forgotten about until Adrian van Hooydonk, Senior Vice President of BMW Group Design, uncovered a photograph of the lost concept car. This triggered his determination to find out more, ultimately leading to the mission to recreate the distinctive Garmisch again.

For van Hooydonk, building a new version gave BMW the chance to "pay tribute to Mr. Gandini" and also be able to "highlight Bertone's stylistic influence on the evolution of BMW design. For me, that alone was reason enough to do this project – filling in the gaps and completing BMW's history."

And part of that original design as well the Garmisch Concept made it to the Concept 4 Series and now to the production car, the grille. The iconic BMW grille has long been open to interpretation by its corporate designers.

That's a bit harsh!

one view is that we are all whiners(all). another is that we are all pretty particular about our taste in cars, hence we are in a forum for a particular niche of car.

Whilst you may be right about BMW not caring too much about what the very few thinks, I would have thought that this is the place to share our views amongst friends with common interests.

nobody needs an M4. so if I'm going to spend my hard earned dollars, on any car, I should be able to say if I like it or not. As I said, I'm sure BMW will sell plenty of them, regardless of what I think. And, I'll be super jelious of the new car as it will no doubt be better in power and tech.

Just saying I'm disapointed I can't bring myself to like it - clearly, I'm a BMW fanboy.

That grille is just wrong; an affront to style and sensibility.
Pray that it doesn't spread any further to the rest of the line, like typhus.
