Yup.
FINALLY got the 11/2019 update and sure enough, Spotify doesn't even load. Gonna be honest, I'm pretty annoyed that my girlfriend's Ford Explorer runs Android Auto and other media functions way smoother than my M340. You'd think there would be a higher standard for this stuff. |

My car was updated a few months ago and I only have two apps, BMW assistant and something else (can’t remember what it is but it’s not really an app). Everything else is gone and there doesn’t seem like a way to add anything. So frustrating.

In iDrive go to apps and then press option button on by the gears. An option to update comes up. This should bring all the apps back. If not do a hard reset of iDrive - delete personal data, then start again. Spotify is 9/10 great for me. I update the apps once a week. If Spotify goes weird after I update the apps it works fine again.

I have done a reset about five times by holding in the volume button. Is there a different way to do a hard reset as you mentioned? |

My region doesn't even have spotify working, and it was what I was looking forward to... Seems like android auto or carplay is the only way to use connected features...

My Spotify stopped working a few weeks ago on 11/2019.70 software. I reset iDrive and updated apps several times to no avail. I had to bring it in for them to look at it and they said the system was throwing off an error code. They got authorization from a Regional Rep to update iDrive, which fixed my issue. I was upgraded to 03/2020.xx software which, while not the latest build, did fix my particular Spotify issue of the app not even appearing.

Would you happen to know how to get back the options for turning on heated seats when I remote start my car because that function disappeared too when I got the new update to 3/2020. |

So I assume the Spotify icon is supposed to appear under the list of apps? There is no icon, even though Spotify is installed (and works sometimes).

Yes, in the media section with SiriusXM, AM/FM, Carplay etc. it has always been an option there. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to see it as an app icon where the other non-media app icons are.
I did do an app update today, and maybe this will fix my Spotify issue. What's odd though, is when I went into Apps and pressed Option, the menu option to update apps was not even there until after I did it like 5 times, and then suddenly it appeared. |
