Does any (new) BMW use Matrix Headlights?
Hi guys,
I've engaged in a discussion with the guy from this video, because he insists on that BMW's use Matrix headlight technology (light modules that turn on and off, as in the Audi's). Last comment he made was that BMW uses that in non-Laser-equipped headlights. However, I used to have a 5 series with regular adaptive headlights and they never seemed Matrix to me. If I'm not mistaken, matrix lights use light modules that turn on and off, while BMW's actually move from side to side, and do not have individual squared modules that change state. Who's right here? The dude from the video or me?

Thanks, but that's in the M8 competition. Can this be found in any other BMW? For example, is this the tech in my 3 series G20 w/Laser? I've never seen those lights blocks in my car, but I've very clearly seen how the lights move from side to side.

Yes, every BMW Laserlight is the same technology. X7/X5/7series/3series, it is the same.
