That's crazy. Mine was cheaper to insure than my previous F150 through progressive.

I'm 50 years old, have excellent credit, a clean driving record, and insure my home through LM.

A quick Geico online quote returned just under $1400/yr for similar coverage. My rates have been creeping up over time and was paying about $3k/yr for the old 340i with LM. I think they're trying to shaft me.

Anyone else think this is seriously out of line?
$1470 a year for me.

Oh, that makes me feel much better. Thank you for clarifying, and good for you having such a sweet ride at 23! Just wait, you will be an old fart before you know it!
Lol, I figured that would make it more understandable. And thank you, it's only because I work for BMW do I have a nice car, working in this business makes me feel like an old fart 😅

All these famous insurance brands just scan people. There Online quotes suck. Try to find a local business which deals with different insurance companies...they get u best deals.
There are insurance companies which you don't hear much and their service is good too.

In NJ, Ive great experience with Plymouth Rock

31 year old male with good driving record, and I’m paying about $1900/year with State Farm. That’s about $600 more than my 2016 535i. Not too bad!

I think it's more about not getting gouged than not being able to afford it.

Mine will be 1350 per year for an M340i, clean record. This is Miami/ Ft. Lauderdale area where we pay higher rates due to the record number of uninsured motorists down here. M340i will be 120 dollars cheaper to insure than my current 2016 Lexus IS200t mainly due to the improved safety features in the new bimmer.
