Remote start air conditioning levels
Is there a way to get the remote start air conditioning set to Max AC in the summer currently and maximum heat/seats/steering wheel in the upcoming winter?
I can't find documentation on it, and since I've had the car in the past two months, I've not used it often -- as it seems to default to how I left the car. Typically it's on auto, and fan speed at the lowest, or one above lowest. That usually means that it doesn't do much on a car that has been sitting outside in 90-95F days. |

If it's on auto why it the fan speed fixed? I'd say the speed should vary based on how to match temperature.

I'm not aware of any way to get the A/C to behave as you describe. Using remote start from the ConnectedDrive app, the A/C *does* turn on when the car starts, but it's not at the same intensity as if you were present in the car.
When you get in the car after remote start, iDrive asks you to depress the brake and start button, and once the car "starts" (is convinced you are really there) a noticeable change in the fan speed occurs and intensity of the A/C. |

I guess I'm just confused then. What's the point is of having remote start? This is the first BMW that I've owned with it, and every other vehicle I've had in our household (Jeep, Honda, Infiniti, etc.) will start the car and condition the environment.
I know there has always been (at least since iDrive started) the ventilation function, but it's somewhat pointless. |

That's because in the E edition both airco and heating are fully electrical because they need to be available even when the engine isn't running.
