I just took delivery of my 330i xDrive yesterday. It has the M sport package which has comfort access. I didn't realize I should have gotten a NFC key card at delivery. Just want to see if it's something that's always included and everyone got theirs?

I just responded to your other post in a different thread. Did you check in the front cover that holds the manual? My key card is in the small slot in the cover that holds the owners manual.

I doubled checked the front cover of my manuals. I see a slot that has what appears to be business card holder, but no card there. My salesperson is checking for me, but the person who knows or is in charges of stuff like this is not around on the weekend.

I guess there's no standard operating procedure to deliver everything?

Check your owners manual! Mine was in there. You have to configure it manually though.

Sorry just saw you checked. That's where it should be 100%. If not, you'll need to get your dealership to replace it.

Mine was in the center console in front of the cup holder where the wireless charging pad would be

Always check your trunk for missing items as well. Dealerships have a tendency to throw things in there.

I checked everywhere in the car, in the process found a semi-loose front tow hook which I Velcro it down

I am fairly certain that I didn't get the nfc card. Waiting to hear back from my salesperson.

Mine was handed to me and I think 'activated' in some way.

I got mine on delivery and it was pre-activated by my consultant.

Definitely check with your dealer, they should have it.

I finally got the card today. Seems like they had it somewhere and just not part of the checklist. For anyone reading this who haven't taken delivery, just be mindful of it.

My car came with a NFC card key but it won’t activate. The genius said it’s because wireless charging is required (forgot to check that box when ordering). This is frustrating because the documentation only says comfort access is required, and the wireless tray has an NFC pictogram on it. Is this true?

I have wireless charging, so I can't say for sure.

But I definitely read somewhere that NFC card will work if you have comfort access. Or else what does the NFC tray do?

I DO NOT have wireless charging and I was able to activate mine myself through the iDrive. Genius is full of it.

Definitely not true, I don't have wireless charging but was able to activate my card. To activate the card, follow Jay's instruction in this video:

This probably has more to do with how involved individual dealers (or sometimes salespeople) choose to be. I'm sure some want to spoon-feed you all the information possible and create the best experience while others just kind of want the sale completed and that's it. However I'd be hard pressed to believe those NFC cards don't get delivered to the lot with all them in the same location. I mean this is a German company after all.

this NFC is horrible, no one knows what they are doing, i've been trying to get it set up on my Samsung S10 for 30 days and they have no idea what to do, i went out and purchased the phone just for this and its the correct model also,

Many dealers leave them on the NFC pad. Can't tell you the many times we have swapped cars with other stores only to find the NFC key has been in the car the entire time.

Mine was at the bottom of the goodie bag they gave me after taking delivery. Good thing I took a second look into the bag before I threw the bag away.
