I was going to share that to... I don't know why there's so many genesis fanboys on this forum... If they hate BMW so much and praise genesis than they should leave and go buy a genesis... I'll never buy a rebadged Hyundai, I'll never consider it as I have worked for Hyundai for years and they are cheap vehicles... At least with BMW you know your getting a well built vehicle and a brand that stands behind its product.

I doubt there is even one real Genesis fanboy here - but there are obviously a lot of BMW haters

Your best bet is to just schedule an m340i test drive, and see how it compares to the g70, c43 etc. I'd be interested to read your impression of those cars.

I have a test drive scheduled Wednesday during the M Town event. Made sure to schedule it separately from the event so I get more time behind the wheel. Also have a C43 scheduled for a test drive, and I plan on stopping by Alfa Romeo and Genesis. I plan on posting an in depth comparison for everyone.

Besides the reputation for some of the worst reliability, the thing that sucks about the Giulia is that it's either the quadrofoglio or a 4 pot. I'm sure the quad is a blast, but it's in the same class as the m-cars, so it's hard to make the case for going with the unknown, when you pretty much know what you're getting with an m3 or c63 or whatever. Granted I've been hearing if all sorts of great deals on the quad.

As for the 4 pot, I just can't warm up to the idea of a European 4 pot. If I'm getting a sporty luxury car, I want at least 6 cylinders. At the end of the day, the motor is the heart of the car. I'd take the m340i, or an f30 340i over a Giulia with a 4, even if the Giulia is more engaging. I couldn't give up the b58 for slightly better steering feedback, and a better feeling suspension.

At least in my mind, a 4-pot is perfectly at home in something like a wrx, civic type r, etc. don't get me wrong, I know they're a blast to drive. I'm just saying that's what I think when I think of a fun 4 pot powered car.
You've stated exactly my thoughts. The Giulia is a more "fun" car, but doesn't have a middle-tier trim like the 3-series does (330, 340, M3). On top of that, it has a mediocre interior and tech. The G20 is obviously the better all-rounder. But unlike most people nowadays I value how the car drives above anything else, and simply cannot justify spending so much coin on a car I find too refined/unengaging. It's sad because the 3-series used to not only offer all the luxury/build quality that competitors couldn't match, but was easily the most fun segment entry as well.

I have driven the M340 and was not enthralled by anything besides the powertrain. The steering wasn't bad like the F30's but wasn't exciting either. I have a 2012 Lexus IS which has much tighter and engaging steering, without question.

The dude is just happy BMW leant him a car to make a video with. Of course he won't say anything bad. The clickbait title, which is clearly false, makes his intentions obvious.
