M340 adaptive mode

So I just picked up my m340 and got the adaptive suspension as an option.
I didn’t realize adaptive was it’s own mode. I usually drive in sport or plus modes but when switching to adaptive the car becomes so quiet and feels like I am in comfort. Is this normal? Additionally any way to turn off the fake noise in the crank ?

You have the Adaptive mode, in addition to adaptive in Comfort and Sport modes.

Adaptive mode has the ability to extend/widen the damping map, to a more sport like map, as and when needed, including a predictive element with SatNav input.

So when I am in sport mode adaptive is running in the background? And when I press adaptive on the console it basing it on current driving pattern?

That's about it.

Quote:
Adaptive mode is designed to achieve a balanced driving mode where the setup is automatically adapted to both the driving situation and the driving style.

"ADAPTIVE" reacts to the current driving style. The affected control units can change their parameters on the basis of the detected driving style.

Think of it as a fully auto mode while in Sport or Comfort you are telling the car you only want those modes. Adaptive can shift settings in background between drives modes.

Makes sense thanks! Any thoughts on the ASD? Any easy way to disable it?
