My M340 is being built right now. I opted for the shadowline package since I didn't like the grey grill, or the diamond pattern.

Now I see some grilles that have the black diamond pattern, and some have the slats. And, I just read something about active shutters???

I'm lost....I want the black slat grill. What do I need to do? Just order them separately?

All are active shutters. If you want the black vertical slat grill you will have to order it from your dealership. The extended black content from the factory comes with the black diamond type grill.

The "active" part of the grille is actually underneath the cosmetic grille. The grille itself is an easy swap and can be ordered from your dealer or aftermarket. The 330 variant comes standard with the vertical grille, the 340 has the diamond pattern from factory. There are a lot of options with respect to colors and style. Do a Google search of g20 grille and you'll get an idea.

I got the black slats. Payed the extra to the dealership at the build signing. Not sure if it is a port-installed part or if the dealer does it upon delivery. All I know is it was installed when I picked it up. Same with the black spoiler.
