Coding Sport+ On G20 w/ Bimmercode

I found a way to code sport plus into the actual center console, this way you can still use the m-style instrument console (because it looks sick) but then see your driving mode in the center as you switch. I will make a post about it soon

I emailed BMW NA regarding the desire for Sport Plus in the NA market 330i. My hope is that they will forward this to the engineers in Germany and they'll listen and push out an update OTA.

Their updates have been very lackluster to date and I feel like this would be a great opportunity for them to create some buzz. Although it should never have been omitted in the first place.

Obviously it's a long shot to think that they would listen but here's to trying

I just worry about the stability of the BimmerCode coding long term. I would prefer to not have to re-code every time an update is pushed out.

I just did it and it's super simple. Very worth it. I used a hard cable connection and it literally takes less than 2 minutes.

The exhaust pops more, downshifts much more aggressively and keeps the RPM around 3k so you're ready to go whenever. It's awesome.

I was skeptical on bimmercode too but it's very simple. I've since added/removed new cluster, removed warnings, added M logo etc.

It's already listed above - you're talking about seeing the different modes when you switch them, right?

Anybody tried this with a 330e? I know we have Xtraboost mode which is similar, but was hoping for some more aggression.

Sport plus is great for holding higher RPMs. I don't really hear any pops while driving, though. Only when parked.

Anyone know if M display can be used with the driving mode displayed in the cockpit? Tried reading the thread but not able to discern if it is. I am able to display it and without the M layout. However, I really like the M layout curious if I can do it using M layout.

Still loving Sport + just which there was a Sport + Steering option.

So I had to recode all my features that I had coded due to yet another warranty visit. I was able to recode all the Sport +, Comfort Plus, and when I try to code the "M" logo at the top of the live cockpit it will not code. Same issue with Engine Sound options, Steering wheel heat on with remote start where no option in the id7 to set the temp for the steering wheel heat like before the service visit. So the reason my g20 had a warranty programming was due to the latest OTA disabled the heated seat on function with remote engine start. Yes am I a beta tester with testflight. Anyone have a clue?

So it came early! And it was a mistake, I got the CX instead. Nevertheless, with Bimmercode Full Version, here's what I did so far:

I got the fake exhaust noise out
M tach changed (i can actually tell the drive modes by the color on the cluster)
M Video Animation on Start-up
Trunk-lid close via remote
video-in-motion (although my miracast on samsung galaxy note10+ doesn't seem to want to work)
Start-up on Adaptive
Fog lights with Parking
Fog lights on with High-Beam
5-time Turn Signals
European Alarm sound(no idea but thought it was fun)

Next to tackle (waiting on test-flight)

Is the 5x turn signal working for you? I coded this yesterday and it did not work.

Did you also select/activate it in iDrive?
It doesn't change the 3x to 5x, but adds a 5x option you can select in the settings.

It worked like a charm. I'm switching back to the BMW display. There's just too much Information loss with the M display. Sigh.

Also I turned off ASD but somehow all it did was change the sound of the artifical engine noise. Thoughts?

Hi folks, I was able to code in Sport+ mode (and add it to iDrive) thanks to the info here.

One problem I faced though is the loss of dynamic activation of "Sport Display" in HUD.
I had it set to "Only in Sport Mode" and that worked before coding (auto turns off in Comfort, auto turns on in Sport), but now it won't show up unless I choose "Always On". Any idea?

That's a known issue with the latest idrive version. Do you have the newest version?
