Park Mobile

Hi,

My car has software version 07/2020.45; one of the Apps on the iDrive is Parkmobile. I have a Parkmobile account & have it linked through my Connected Drive account.

I can't get the App on car's iDrive to work -- have tried rebooting iDrive & updating apps & services. I still get error 2005 or 2001

Welcome any ideas

Same. Never been able to get it to work. So I just use the app on my phone instead.

Are you on the latest version of the app on iOS? There was an update a short while ago that noted it fixed iDrive integration issues. After installing that update and disconnecting my car in the app and reconnecting it it does work.

Then it breaks again in a few days and needs to be disconnected in the app and reconnected so they haven't fully resolved this...

But hopefully it is fully resolved soon. Would be great to have this stable.

I have a Samsung phone so I am on Android OS. I did get an update on Oct 26th that said same thing as iOS update -- BUT still no joy

That's super frustrating. This is one feature I'd actually use quite a lot and is so baffling that it doesn't work. BMW owns ParkMobile and it is a feature only supported on BMW cars. Yet it doesn't work reliably on any of them and even the spotty "fix" took over a year to arrive.

Even when I did get the fix to work earlier like I mentioned. The one time I tried to use it it still was useless! I didn't get the error and did get the full UI, but I wasn't able to actually pay for the spot! It did show the in progress session from my phone though

Well, for the heck of it, I sent Parkmobile an Email

It is really dumb that none of can get it to work in our cars!

UPDATE

My car got it's first OTA Software update from 07/2020.45 to 07/2020.54 yesterday.

Today I noticed that Parkmobile actually works!
