If i start the car while standing on the throttle, i get some pops and crackles. I dont know if i will damage the car by doing this, but it is actually the only way to get some pops out off my EU 330i.

After about a month of ownership just realized today how good the 330i sounds especially for just being a four cylinder turbo.

The car is so quiet inside that I never really heard too much but today I started the car, rev'd the engine a bit in sport mode and could hear some burbles.

Not the same sound as the m340i but way better than the competing Mercedes and Audi models.

The 330i sounds good for what it is, just not very loud.

Audi has been making vacuum cleaners for a while now... Mercedes isn't as bad, but BMW is the only one getting away without soft limiters these days.

Just found out my car has Highbeam Assist. Accidentally pressed the button when driving and it turned on. Didn't know this was available without the Laser Lights.

Did not think this was the case-what did you press that gave high beam assist?

There's two buttons on the turn signal lever, the bottom one enabled the Auto High Beam for me.

Works really well. Immediately switches off the highbeams when noticing another vehicle then switches back on as soon as it passes. Something I'll leave on for now I believe.

It does burble at low rpm (<2k rpm) and if you drive with the Windows down you can hear the turbo, but EU 330i do not pops when you get off the power or make upshift farts like American 330i.

I discovered this afternoon that you cannot put the car in Drive if the door is not fully closed. Reverse is OK, but when I tried to put the car in Drive it just jumped out with a message on the idrive screen. Took me a while to realize what was going on until I clocked the message on the dash telling me the drivers door was not fully shut.

Mine won't let me reverse either. It'll go back into park after moving backwards a bit.

Discovered today that the windscreen seems very soft. Some hairline scratches out of nowhere.

It works as long as you don't fully release the brakes, you can crawl in either direction but as soon as you fully let go of the pedal it stops, at least in the european version

Learned, or better noticed something silly this morning. I have a 330e Sportline and though interiorquality is really good, vast improvement Vs previous models, the door sills are standard black plastic ... Small details but even a simple metallic finish from Sportline up would make a different impression to be honest. You can't also chose something else while configurating and far as I can tell.

Mine does on cold starts and in sports + a little but looking at getting an exhaust system

Love the turbo noise

My biggest regret for the voice assist is that it cannot turn on the fog lights, the controls are not the best in my opinion, compared to other cars I've been in, so every time i have to reach down and look down, if I could say "Hey BMW, turn on the fog lights" it would have been great...

How often are you even turning the fog lights on?! I drive a LOT, and across Europe, and I think I have to put them on maybe once every two years.

Unless, of course, you're putting them on when it's not foggy because you think it looks cool?

It has been really foggy all this week, I've had my fog lights on several times. I agree with FrostNixon, it could be better, the switches are not visible without having to take your eyes off the road to peer below the steering wheel. And that's the last thing you need during fog.

I also agree the light switches are poorly located.

Don't know if the location is the problem or the fact that they are buttons instead of switches. Old vw style was the best imo, rotate once for daylight, twice for regular, pull once for rear fog, another for front fog. Done without looking, now with those buttons it's not so easy for me, maybe I'm just not used to it...

Same here, VW has the best set-up for light controls. Although in my 330e, it just stays in auto for 99.9% of journeys anyway.
