AA uses GESI cats which are EPA approved and do not throw a check engine light even without a tune (guaranteed)

If you are using a tune, you wont get a check engine light no matter which downpipe you use but keep in mind that does not make the car emission legal and you will still fail the emission inspection even if there is no check engine light showing

In NJ all the do is connect the OBDII. So if you have no CEL, shouldnt you pass regardless?

Im not allowed to answer emission questions for each state but what i can say is that the GESI cats are EPA approved and will not trigger a check engine light

NYer here with the AA downpipe. As far as I know, our states don't do any kind of smog testing. Purely pulling monitor values (check for CEL). My car is no longer exempt from emissions portion of the inspection so I'll find out for sure in December.

I would rely on warranty been NOT voided. Just take it off when you visit dealer if you have issues, this is what I will do.

I will probably try to install it this weekend maybe next on m440gc, will update since there is only videos on m340, but I wouldn't expect to be much different

It's not. Warranty is affected only if your aftermarket part caused damage and you are asking them to fix it for free.

The aftermarket downpipe is higher flow than stock, meaning it has fewer restrictions on your turbo, causing less wear and tear.

I don't see how a dealership can blame the aftermarket downpipe for damages.

I would not even bother removing it, to be honest. It's an upgrade that adds power by reducing restrictions rather than pushing the car harder.

I'm running the AA catted DP in my JB4 '21 M340 with no issues. I get my car serviced at a local euro shop, so I can't speak with certainty for the dealer experience, but I would assume the worst-case situation is them making a note of it in your car's file.

After market catted downpipe passes smog no problem? Im in CA as well.
