Great news, I called NHTSA, they said remedy is available and to call dealership!! They said update will take an hour. I will call and let you guys know what my dealership says

Just heard from my SA and he confirmed that codes for the recall should arrive today! Looking like my 330e will be processed quickly and should be able to take delivery mid next week.

I wonder is the VPC's are already working on the one at port? I sure hope so but haven't seen a change on my VIN.

Called my dealer, they confirmed the fix. But my car is still at VPC..

The cars in the dealership should be the first for applying the fix and deliver

German recall website is still there, should clear up once they complete the software update. US recall website updated with remedy and mentioning 1 hour update.

If your dealership is denying this, send them the NHTSA website or the US BMW Recall website with the remedy.

Lets get our long awaited cars! Happy for everyone here with a 330e, patience has paid off.

On the notice it says software fix would be sent to dealers on 10/25. Thar is what my dealers service dept said. He said software would be uploaded to their servers on 10/25. Depending on time it is sent to them, I should get my car either on 10/25 or 10/26

I guess that’s fine… if you’re satisfied with that. Given that other dealers have figured it out, and made cars available for delivery, I think you have a lazy dealer.

But whatever, if they don’t want to go the extra mile for you, I guess that’s on them.

Scheduled to get my car updated tomorrow as well. Already have 1680 miles on my 330e, and a cracked windshield.

To those with a 330e, I have noticed a potential issue but want others input on this. Because I have yet to get a level 2 outlet installed at my home, I am using a TurboCord at 10A and hence start charging immediately when I get home so that I will definitely have a full charge in the morning. I repeatedly come out to my car, without the key, and see my cars center screen on but black and just says "BMW" in the center. It stays on like that for hours and hours when plugged in. In rare cases I don't see it on when I pass the car, but it seems pretty consistent. I was messing around with it to see if I could get it to turn off by halting charging through the app then reselecting the "charge immediately" and the center screen doesn't come back on while charging. Maybe just a weird software gremlin but I'm talking to my service department about it. I just don't want this potential issue to cause rapid degradation of the screen for being on for such long periods of time. Anyone else notice this?

I think it will probably be the same behavior for level2 and level 1 charger.
Have you tried locking your car?

Probably software bug with idrive 8, 11/2022 will come out soon, hopefully this can be addressed in the newer software, your dealer can confirm and help with installing the latest software

I guess I left out some key details, I have tried this on both level 1 and level 2 with the same results, and every time with the car locked as I have the car set to lock as I walk away. I have walked out to get my mail sometimes about 4 hours after plugging the car in and locking it and see the word "BMW" on the screen as I walk past. Likely just a bug but hoping this update fixes it. If not, back to talking to my advisor I guess.

Since we don't necessarily know how the roll-out is being implemented, it may not be best to suggest the dealership is offering subpar service. I mean, they could be, but we don't have enough information to make that suggestion.
