For everyone complaining about the headlights remember that this is ONLY a rendering and not the real thing. This is just someone's OPINION on what it *may* look like.

It's controversial. Expect more opinions about it.

I'm not against big grilles per se. Audi does them well, and some others too. But god damn, here it just looks like a complete afterthought and just completely misplaced.

I'll say it again: Build the damn CSL Hommage, not this crap!

It better smoke a tuned q50 if not a high revving 4 cylinder like the first M3 with a dct gearbox

If this out sells the 3 series I'll be floored! I know everyone has said it a million times but it does not matter how good the driving dynamic might be but no one wants this ugly front!

has potential. Renders are great but for me I always need to see it in person before I make any assumptions. Just roll it out already BMW!!

I think it looks great. A nice change of pace from the typical evolution rather than revolution.

Exactly, so what is the point of a rendering?

Thanks for your renderings . They are appreciated by many and they look much better than my Magic Marker renderings in the 70's.

As much as I like your lighthearted take on this, I think a design display which is open for praise is also open for constructive criticism. Maybe the OP didn't realize that spyshots have more narrow headlights and he can then update his render to match. Idk just sayin

The original poster was trying to do the community a favor and give us a rough idea of what it may look like based on spy shots. Take everything you see with a grain of salt. Certain parts of the car may look somewhat similar when it's released.
