SM-10 Sale
When will the next sale be on for the SM-10 flow-formed wheels for G20? I missed the last one and am eager to get some larger tires on my car... keep loosing traction around turns when I tap the accelerator just a little too much.

Apex Team,
I'm a complete novice when it comes to getting aftermarket alloys, so please bear with me... Using your guide, I'm close to pulling the trigger on the 20x9" ET25 VS-5RS F/R + 245/35-20 F/R setup, so I don't have to worry about spacers. My G20 is completely stock suspension/height wise. Is this still the recommended fitment? I noticed you went with a different config in this video (F: 20x9" ET25 w/ 245/35-20 (12mm spacer due to aftermarket suspension and alignment), R: 20x10" ET38 w/ 275/30-20), granted that car has had some extra work done. I just want to make sure I'm making the best choice... Obviously I can always just add a spacer after the fact... Thanks!

This G20 is running a ton of additional negative camber (via camber plates) along with coilovers. The setup without the spacers wouldn't have cleared his aftermarket suspension and would have been very inset. Your car will not need any spacers and the setup will still look flush with the stock suspension. -Tom

Heard that. I got a 2020 m340i about 3 weeks ago and started looking at options for a second set of wheels as I’ll need some winters soonish.
I’ll keep popping back in to see if anything changes. Thank you. |

Expert@ApexWheels I've read all the guides, but still struggling with choosing between 19x9 square or 19x9.5 square. This is for track use and light summer driving, but I'm on stock suspension and won't be upgrading it further for at least another year. Sounds like running 19x9.5 square without some sort of camber solution in the rear and camber + spacer solution in the front is really a gamble. One guy told me 19x9.5 was just fine on stock suspension without spacers, but that could come down to tire choice too.
Would really like to future proof with the 19x9.5, but not planning on any suspension upgrades for right now. Help me choose, please! |

The 9.5 ET25s aren't an easy fit front or rear without mods. If you can move your modification timeline up, the 9.5s can work provided you make all the changes needed to support them. -Tom

Hello Expert@ApexWheels
I’ve been looking through this technical guide to see how OEM staggered set up (225/40/19 + 255/35/19) would feel/look like on 19x9 and 19x10 wheels. I know it’ll be quite stretched as the recommended set up is 235/40/19 + 265/35/19 at the minimum but also didn’t want to waste OEM wheels. Would really appreciate it if you could provide some guidance and photos if you have them! |

Expert@ApexWheels I can't seem to find this conclusively in this thread or your guides, but with the 19x9 SM-10 ET28, if we're wanting to run a 265/35/19 up front on stock suspension, depending on the specific tire, we could still run into an issue where we'd need a small spacer to prevent rubbing on the strut, correct? Regardless, it would be tight. This would be for a track-only application, and I'm looking at the Continental Extremecontact Force. Thanks.

EDIT: 255/35-19 looks like a good choice too on stock suspensions. Per willtheyfit.com, looks like the closet (i.e., nearly identical) to stock circumference. Last edited by prostcfc; 02-19-2024 at 04:26 PM.. |

Last year I ran 235/40/19 on all four, dinan springs. The last two track days I’ve now ran new setup, onlins r/t, vorshlag camber plates and 265/35/19 on all four.

Frankly, I wouldn't recommend that combination of wheel and tire to most drivers. It can work, but the 19x9" wide wheel won't provide much sidewall support for a 265/35-19 track tire like the ECF. The 19x9.5 ET25 setup would help extract more performance out of the 265 tire, but requires more mods to the alignment and suspension. The camber plates and rear suspension changes required would likely be worth it for a track setup, but with most folks running the 19x9 ET28s I recommend 255/35-19 for ease of fitment and to better suit the width of the wheel. -Tom

Any updates on 19x9.5 and 19x10 restock? Excited for these, have a bunch of suspension components waiting to go on too so it can all get corner balanced together. Öhlins R&T as well. The 12mm front spacer is mandatory to clear those struts, right? Do you think this Dinan kit would potentially help with rubbing up front when reversing etc? Should cut down on thrust arm deflection significantly
