I've ran 245/40-19 for the track last summer and never rubbed. This season I am installing 255/40-19, that's on 19x8.5 ET30 wheels and I have 3mm spacers up front, fingers crossed it will clear..

I did acquire a staggered set of summers from an M340i. They'll be on from June-September.

Confirmed just had my Pilot Sport 4S mounted on my 8" wheels on a square setup with 245/40/19's I also have adaptive suspension which I'm told makes the shock tubes a bit wider and more an issue. No rubbing at all, no spacers yet.
Ride quality is amazing, so happy to be off run flats as well as all season tires. I would have optioned the car from the factory with the performance package. But I found this gem with 4K miles on it and went that route. Looking back I'm actually happier with this setup now, as I can rotate this sticky mofo's. Not to mention having the smaller brake rotors made it easier to fit my 18" snow tires for winter too. Super excited with the purchase, and no rubbing have at it! |

I just bought these tires and they are waiting to go on. I don't want to mount them if there will be rubbing. I did see a couple of accounts where there was rubbing on RWD models on the front left wheel. I then realized that everyone that confirmed fitment was xdrive. I'm wondering if there's a difference in wheel clearances on the RWD models? It would definitely be easier to exchange sizes if the tires haven't been mounted. |

you do know that bigger tyres mean slower acceleration? |

If people can run supra 3.0 wheels with are 9 in the front on a 245 tire and only have rub with adaptive suspension. You should be totally fine. To confirm, I am fine and love the setup. As for lower acceleration performance post, maybe I'm just getting old. But my brain still gets squished on launches and I can 110% say the ride and comfort out of the car and performance on cornering was well worth the little bit lost on aceeleration. TL;DR - You are correct. But I put an * next to that! |

Any idea what size spacer will remedy the issue? I know 15mm all around looks great, but I fear that the wheel will stick out with 15mm spacers and 245/40/19s |

im a total noob and uneducated on tires. I have a 330i and wanted to replace the factory wheel with the widest with front and rear?
I know lots of guys keep their stock set up and run spacers. my question is, to avoid having to use spacers can't I just run wider wheels with wider tires? my car is running the square 18" stock wheels. |

I recently installed OEM M3 19x9.5 +20 826M square set up on my M340i with 275/30 PS4S.
The front fits perfectly and doesn't rub even at full lock. The rear sticks out a bit but I kinda like it. I've only experienced minor rubbing on the rear right wheel after going over a highway bump at 80 miles an hour. I'm getting an alignment soon so I'll update and post pictures. |

I'm running 275/30/19 with no rubbing but I'm cutting it really close at full lock. Your set up increases wheel and tire radius by 2.8mm but I think it should be fine. The only concern is when you turn your steering wheel full to either side.

I honestly think I am going to do 255s square and call it a day. I plan on getting the OEM Jet black 791m wheels but I will get 2 sets of the rear wheels so i can have 8.5" wheels all around. I am still trying to make sure this will fit but based on other setups, it looks to be fine. I am sure I will need a spacer though on the front.

Soooo.. to bring this one back a little.
Car: M340i RWD Std Suspension stock ride height. I want to go with a squared setup... what would be the widest wheel/tire setup I could run? 255's 8.5" wheel ??? I want a flush look, no rubbing .. just a clean look and drive. Gracias!! Lol |

Apex has a fitment guide. Looks like you can do 19x9s squared. ET 28 up to 265s
