4 Series grilles as seen through prototype camouflage

There's quite a bit of detail behind the recently spied G26 4 Series Gran Coupe prototype's mesh if you play around with the image - you can definitely see the outline of the grille and how it closely matches the concept. Looks a tad bit more rounded around the corners to me and will likely have a pretruded nose like the concept as well.

I see it very much like a 2020 M135i face with its grille elongated vertically... with a wider track of course.

Yes great work. You can certainly see the actual implementation of the Grille matching to the concept.

Has everybody got over it now? It has been 7 days....

They're getting there SCOTT26. Slowly but surely. There are still a few holdouts stubbornly adhering to the, "It's going to look like the G20. Don't worry!", prediction, but most of us have accepted it.......like it or not. It has admittedly grown on me more and more.

The grille for the i4 will be the same except it will be sealed like the i3,i8 and iNext.

I've noticed that the test mules have much more rounded grilles than the concept too. Too bad because I really like the sharper polygonal look of the concept. Hopefully they keep the depth of the concept's grille though, but that's looking a bit iffy too.

It would seem that the shape of the grilles we've been seeing on the camouflaged cars on transport trucks and on the road are closer to the renders (see renderings) than the Concept.

I would also say to remember the concept photos that were shot by hand have an awful perspective lens.... if you look at the official bmw photos (some of the ones on insta or web) the perspective looks much more like the renderings... the "in person" photo gallery images in post 1 are all over zoomed and widen the grills more than they are.

That said the concept probably over emphasized as well to drive the message home

I agree 100%, and that's what I was trying to explain to another member.

It's almost as of BMW said "The car is just too pretty, we need a really huge, disgusting zit on its face to make it seem more approachable."
