Hello everyone. A family member just picked up a 2020 330xi loaner and I'm trying to help set it up.

Almost no options on the car:

248 Heated Steering Wheel 175.00 190.00
494 Heated front seats 460.00 500.00
4UR Ambient Lighting 230.00 250.00
508 Park Distance Control 185.00 200.00


After driving a few days I can't seem to figure this out:

1. Guage cluster color is orange in comfort mode, white in sport/eco. Didn't find any options in iDrive to change this to white all the time or orange all the time

2. Is there any way to change Active Sound exhaust levels?

3. Still messing around with CarPlay & iDrive but this doesn't seem to have some of the "BMW Office" or "Enhanced Bluetooth" features for text messages, etc, without using CarPlay. Does that sound right?

From factory, you can't make the changes to 1 & 2 as you wish. You could download bimmercode, a coding app, to do modify the exhaust note and clusters. Although changing the colours only I'm not sure if is possible. I've turned off my active sound and changed my clusters entirely using Bimmercode.

As for your third, I'm actually not sure as I only use CarPlay and it works excellent.

I hadn't tried comfort mode during the day, it looks like the cluster is white in daylight conditions regardless of driving mode. Answers that question too.

1. Not sure you can change that option (always white) using bimmercode. It's always been a BMW trademark (white and orange lights depending on if the headlights are on or not). In older cars, only way was to change the LEDs in the cluster out.

2. You cannot change ASD sound levels using the idrive. I don't think you can change the sound levels using bimmercode either. You can only enable or disable it.

3. For enhanced Bluetooth, the car needs the optional wireless charging thingy. Else, it isn't possible. I tried using bimmercode to code it but it didn't work in our G20.
