M3 CS Owners - Do You Have the Parking Assistance Package?

Hey All,

For those G80 CS owners, does the car come with the 360 cameras (the parking assistance package) - in all the press photos I've seen, the interior of the car on the center tunnel is missing the button for the 360 camera.

Thanks!

Nope, just rear camera and front/rear proximity sensors.

I thought about it for like .02 seconds, but I only use my M4 for trips to the grocery store and the golf club, lol.

x drive all the way. You might as well look into a 911 once you get near CS pricing.

no parking package, you get a $5000 front lip that sticks 2" off the sides of the bumper and no way to see the curbs

I have a $120k msrp xDrive LCI M4 on order so the pricing shouldn’t be more than like a $10k delta.

There is something to be said of the prestige that the CS heritage brings.

But at the same time, I know there are lot of of coding options available to get the “cs feel” on a comp xDrive.

I’m torn also because my order should come in by June but the CS will go into production in July, meaning it prob won’t come in until September, leaving the summer behind.

I went through this a year ago when I was considering a M3CS or M3 CompX. Went with M3 Comp. Now I have the CS. I tried the CS coding and it was an improvement but not as dialed in as I wanted. Anyway, I was constantly regretting not having jumped on the CS initially even though it was slightly more expensive. I was lucky enough to find another one at MSRP and absolutely love it. IMO - you’ll be happy you went with the CS. It’s a totally different car. However, the thing I miss most is the 360 degree camera views.

Lack of cup holders, you can get most of the CS stuff (except engine tune) through coding/flashes (like you mentioned), plus you can get whatever individual color you want, more options like 360 cam/auto driving, and still save money with the extra carbon and ceramic brake options they have to offer.

IMO it's a no brainer unless you're dead set on it.

Agreed, coding in the CS drivetrain into the CompX is a great bridging of the gap without some of the usability penalties of the CS.

And that coding is only a few hundred bucks to boot. For the Parking Assistance package, I love it and use it daily so to me it's well worth it.

Get the xDrive. For a daily driver, it's a no brainer.

Yeah right. I have no desire to drive a CS at all. I would take a loaded X drive every time. Or go buy a lightly used 911. To each there own. But the CS just doesnt do it for me at all. No thanks.

It seems like you either have the CS and love it, or don't have it and find it useless. I think it's great for someone who wants something more special/exclusive and that will do some track days, but it's not the great value that is a regular m3/m4 comp for the performance that you get.

Really?

What part of I am not interested in a CS did you not understand? They dont do it for me. I dont care for them. They are not worth the price of admission to me. Not now, not ever. Not even if I was first on the list to order and own one.

I would take any 140K 911 (991.2/992) over a BMW CS every day of the week and twice on sunday.

honestly, the CS only having a black with red accents interior is a drawback for me - i love the full fiona red interior with buckets on the G82

I wouldn't be surprised if there are several M4 CS available next year with less than 2k miles on them - with the market turning, they could be a good deal certified pre owned.
