Hello, this has probably been asked before, but I cant find a clear answer. I have a 21 M340i xDrive that came with 225/40 R19 all around (791 M’s). I would like to run a wider tire, what is the max I can run on the rear? If possible id like to keep the 225 on the front. Do I need to keep it squared to keep the xDrive system happy?

The staggered set up is 225/40r19 front and 255/35r19 rear and thats what my m440xi has stock.

But your size wheel may not be 8” square. Not sure if that is something to consider.

Also, 255 tire on a 8” wheel is not optimal. Too much tire for too little wheel. 235 is the most optimal tire size for 8” wheel.
