Bootmod3 tune
Anyone here considering running the Bootmod3 tune. I am currently running the RaceChip which did make a substantial difference. But, I did have this tune on my F90 M5 and it was a monster.

I am in a similar situation as you. I have a Gintani tune and I want to move over to bootmod3 mainly for the continuous updates and support. I haven't found anything glaringly negative about bootmod3 on g20s so hopefully, someone can shed some more light.

There are some reviews on youtube and instagram and they are all very positive and generally very happy with the results. My tune will done in the next two weeks. Currently, I have the catted DP, CAI and the RaceChip - and it has made a substantial difference.

I had Stage 2 BM3, catlesss downpipe, intake, and exhaust on my F30 340i and absolutely loved it. Not a single issue. Can't wait until it's available for 2022's.

How many miles did you put on it? Always a bit concerned about longevity (although I never end up keeping the car that long)

Not BM3 related, but I've heard the horror stories of people blowing motors, breaking driveshafts, destroying trans/clutches, bricking the DME, etc.. I knew I wouldn't be driving the piss out of my car, but those thoughts were always in the back of my mind. I also believe most of those cars were ZF 8-Speeds constantly doing launch control, heavily modified, or just always driven hard by people that don't care. That was my first experience tuning a car and I'll definitely do it again. I had great luck tuning my last 3 motorcycles (S1000RR), so I figured 'why not' Unfortunately not all cars are created equal and problems can happen. As we all know, BMW's are expensive to fix. I ran BM3 on my F30 for 25k miles and most of it was on E30 with zero issues. I haven't decided if I want to transfer the license to the M340i or do ecutek yet. It seems almost all the fast supra and m340i guys are on ecutek.

Newer ECUs are locked, so bm3 is not an option. In this case the Race Chip is a great alternative
