Exclamation Exhaust valve still shuts with coding

It seems that after coding in the "engine sound" option to manually open/close exhaust valve, the sound is much more prominent from the exhaust when put into "sporty". But it seems that when the car is in comfort mode, still only one exhaust is being used regardless of the "engine sound" you select.

Is the only way to bypass this by unplugging the valve? Seems like a chore to plug/unplug it every time I'm bringing in the car in for servicing.

Any way to start the car with "sporty" selected instead of "depending on driving mode"?

How does one code this? Is there a thread for it?
