Can anyone shed some light please ?

I have a 2019 M340i . Does this mean I can bench unlock it and tune it with BM3 with the ODB Port ?

Is this possible ?

With a 2019 you should be able to unlock and flash at home with BM3, Mission Performance, MHD all over OBD. I unlocked and flashed my 2020 myself using Mission

typically no unless your DME has been updated with a later rev of software (I think some were updated but I'm not 100% on that). With Mission I downloaded the MP software hooked it up to the car and it gave Alex a data dump on my DME rev of software etc...so he was able to see if my car was able to be remotely flashed. I'm sure BM3 can do something similar but I'm not familiar with their process

Same here, IMO for the money JB4 has been satisfactory. I think it will be the second half of the year before we have a cracked dme for 2021s, and that’s if we’re lucky.

Either of you have dyno or track numbers or just butt dyno?

Also, are you running the EWG add on for JB4?

With all due respect there is no 2019 M340. I have a 2020 took delivery August 2019 , built in July, sold as a 2020

I do have EWG add on and running E30. I am running on Map4, currently full boost is 26 psi and have catless downpipe.

I raced my friend 2021 Supra when I was stock and he took me by 2 cars. With JB4 and e30, I got him by 2 cars. Hope this helps. I don't have any dyno numbers sorry.

I have Draggy results pre and post JB4, measured on the same road, same weather conditions, same fuel levels, etc... and gained about 3/10ths of a second to 60, 4/10ths now that I have a down pipe.

I reached out to bootmod3 it's still in the works. i ordered the JB4 yesterday probably going to run stage 3 on 93 oct. i forgot to order the ewg wire. if i get the wire i would be able to run map4 on 93 alone or would i have to do an E85 blend?

You could still run 93 but you won’t see much gains without E on that map. I would stick with Maps 2 and 3 if your only going to use 93.

sounds good, the station by me has E85 i guess after i install it and get the feel for it ill do the EWG and e85 blend. last thing left to do after that is the down pipe and I'm set

How does the JB4 differentiate stage 2 from 1 meaning no down pipe to a down pipe? hopefully XHP does a reflash for you guys soon. my transmission is lighting fast with shifts after the flash.

Crap that's good to know, i will have to do the washer flange thing to get rid of the light. Thanks a lot for all the info.

Yes, because JB4 just went 50 State legal, they had to update the firmware where it doesn't auto delete catless cel code. Doesn't bother me, car still performs and easy to delete codes.
