Re #3, why not license the process to other tuners and take a license fee + royalty with audit rights. It's what I do for all my tech clients that come up with interesting tech and want to find more ways to commercialize their technology.
Also, this whole talk of "intellectual property" is a bit odd considering you are likely not only violating any EULA or terms that came with the DME, but most definitely attempting to reverse engineer their IP (or more specifically Bosch's) and or copying their code to do what you needed to do to accomplish this, the latter being a violation (i.e., infringement if we want to get technical) of their IP.

Does this mean late 2020 models can now be unlocked with OBD-II as well? Without bench unlock

Would love to know this as well as it could possibly save the extra $200-$600 I've been quoted for a bench unlock.

I think a lot of guys are getting it wrong that it's releasing in September, what's releasing in September is their new platform not the tune itself.
Though I hope it does or even earlier. Been driving my 21 m340 and been waiting to tune it so badly |

So are you anticipating it (the tune) to come out sooner?

Wonder Thescout13 if BMW AG/Bosch attorneys have mailed off a cease and desist letter, as the video was ballsy pretty much telling BMW "this is who I am, now come and get me"?
BMW reads this forum daily, why do you all think we have our posts being deleted that are controversial?

BMW has been contacting us on many occasion, trying way to figure out how operate and how we are able to perform things ahead of anyone else. The latest event being BMW chief engineer in hybrid propulsion (name won't be listed here unless he pisses me of again), placing an order and attempting to datalog our program to figure out how we are getting 20% range improvement on 45e hybrid vehicles. Well that didn't go to plan and he was caught: non-public vehicle vin produced in 2019, though mid 2020 is when hybrid was first I produced in us. No sales record of vehicle and the best part yet, the last GPS location of that vehicle is at the BMW RND facility. So yes, for years BMW has been logging tuners to figure out how things are being done. But because what we offer is service, nothing more then closing doors can be done. |

And I would of thought the question is how did you get a GPS location for a car you do not own

Good work Alex. I feel that your work speaks for itself and no need to explain anything. Just based on what I have read on this forum is why I chose your tune and I am more than happy I did.

And along these same lines....I've shared this before - but it's probably worth posting again given the number of new users here and the topic at hand: Toyota Corporate Global - with the eyes of the world watching and zero tolerance for failure hired Alex to tune their very own TRD Supra Heritage addition. They had the pick of any tuner in the world (including their own engineering staff) but the job went to Mission Performance/Alex and they (Toyota) shared it in a press release and on the info sheet as the car made the car show rounds (I saw it at the toyota booth at the LA car show) Rumor (cough cough) has it that there are many many Toyota executives driving around in their very own Supra's around the world running Mission Software. Anyhoo - again kudos to Alex a true gentleman to work with and a world class platform developer...innovator without a doubt. I wear my MP hat proudly at car shows and BMW events and it's always fun to see the conversations that come from it. Here's one of the press releases that Toyota published and a pic I snapped at the LA auto show. https://pressroom.toyota.com/gr-supr...re-appearance/ |
