Bootmod3 vs MHD tuning
Hey everyone just looking to get some feedback from people who are tuned on Bootmod3 or MHD. It seems everyone is mostly on ecutek which is great but the price for a tune is nearly $1500-$1800. Whereas MHD and BM3 are $600~. I know BM3 just released a few new features (anti lag, map switching, and flex-fuel) so that is quite enticing. I also have seen some comments of people saying the new BM3 multi-maps are much faster and cleaner than ever before.

I have BM3 and MHD. I used OTS maps from bootmod and then had a custom tune made from a local tuner and was never satisfied. I then switched to MHD when they released their revised OTS maps. I found the stage 2 E40 map to be perfect for me. Very stock like drivability, no issues with any check engine lights or limp mode issues. (which I had on BM3 with the custom tune). Very consistent and impressive power (more than when I had the Mission Perf tune). I ran consistent low 11 sec 1/4 times at over 122mph with the dragy. I tested all tunes at the same spot with comparable DA. All this being said, I have not yet tested the most recently released BM3 OTS maps. They state that they have made changes similar to the MHD tunes (no torque spike, revised boost and timing, raised torque limit) and have a stage 2 e50 tune making over 500whp. I believe this will be comparable to the e40 tune I am running from MHD but I need to switch back and test it to see. Honestly I'm so happy with the MHD tune and scared the BM3 tune will not be as good that it is hard for me to make myself do it even for testing. If I get around to it I will be sure to check back in and let people know my experience. I have been waiting to see someone else give some results with the updated BM3 tunes. Checking you tube for videos, the forum, and fb pages and still nothing more then the BM3 claims of power figures. If someone posts some dragy times with a catless dp and an e50 BM3 OTS tune running better than 122-123mph traps with M340 xdrive I will definitely give it a try.

Very good information there, thanks Lonmon.
How many miles have you been running the MHD tune? Did you have to get your DME bench unlocked?

I used bm3 on two f chassis shop cars, I can't recommend it enough, and they always release new updates, which makes it even better.
