Dinan or Eventuri intake??? HELP!

Hey guys,

So I own a 2019 BMW 330i M Sport and with a JB+, Fi Exhaust, FTP chargepipe and a Dinan cold air intake. When I was first looking for an intake, I was browsing through vendor websites and the first thing I saw was the price on the Eventuri intake and didn’t look any further. Didn’t want to spend over $1k on a mod that produces marginal power gains. But now… idk why… I really want it.. Could people give me their opinions on why I should or should not go for it??? I’m struggling with this decision.. And financially.. I make a pretty decent salary.. But I mean $1k on a CAI is a bit much.. right? ahhhhhhhhh first world problems are killin me.

$1k isn't a bit much. It's a bit too much.

No matter how much money I make. I wouldn't spend that much on a CAI that doesn't produce much power. It's the sound that people like. Anyone who says they notice a gain in power is just feeling a placebo.

Unless you pop the hood often to show off your bits under there, I would save the $$$s and get another cheaper CAI.

I appreciate your honest response. To be honest, I already knew it was a no brainer not to get it. I already have a nice Dinan High Flow carbon fiber intake. Idk why I even considered getting this... I'll delete this post now.. lol

Depends on your budget, if you have that much to spend and you are okay doing spending that much on an intake, the Eventuri is the best looking intake on the market

Hi pewpew392 - I just purchased a 2022 BMW 330I. I was just wondering if I could check how you are liking the FI exhaust and the JB+? I've been trying to research this exhaust and the JB+ and was just hoping to find another user's opinion. Thanks!

Hey tyler! I ordered the exhaust on Monday and they said it’ll take 1-2 weeks to be delivered. I should hopefully have it installed by next weekend (1/22 - 1/23). Will keep you posted! I don’t check this forum too often, so if you want to DM me and get my contact info, I’d be more than happy to keep you updated!

Was talking to them recently for my 2022 330i, I am still trying to get my head around a $4100 (Canadian) exhaust for a 330i….

Idt i'd mind spending it on a m340i, but a 330i is iffy.

If you can do a review when you get it and some raw sound footage that'll be great!

I am debating on seeing what Dinans axlebak will be like and maybe do a res delete with a high flow dp.

I actually have been buying a lot of parts from a single vendor and developed a relationship with them. So I actually got a pretty sweet deal on them. Still pricey… but for me, the Fi Exhaust was the only one that had the exhaust note and right amount of volume I was looking for. This is my first exhaust purchase on any of my cars so I’m super excited! Will definitely keep y’all updated!

Awesome! I don't think I can send PM's yet (I need to post a few more times first before a "full member"). Did I see you used Extreme Power House? I was wondering the best place to buy. Did you do the downpipe also? I wasn't sure if there were issues with the check engine light. Did you also do the $800 app/remote add-on? I wasn't sure if that was worth it or not to add?

If you can afford Eventuri, do it! Tons of people, including myself, out there spending $1800+ on the M Performance exhaust and it doesn't even add power. It's all sound and doesn't even give you cool exhaust tips (on M340i).

At least the Eventuri intake is carbon, adds the smallest amount of power, has good sound, and is adapted for adding strut braces. Yeah, it's super expensive and the thought of paying that much for an intake makes me sick, but i've also considered pulling the trigger multiple times.

The Eventuri intake will accommodate the bracing from the 4er? It looks a little off to me. Does anyone have any pics?

I looked into intakes and ended up going with the BMS silicone pipe air chamber/accordion delete and a drop in AFE filter. Everything else is just the same thing with a CF box and a cone filter. The tube and drop in filter cost me ~$150.

Read the description on their website. I would contact them directly for any concerns.

"In order to maximise volume we made the airbox as large as possible with a recess for potential strut braces."

I got a pretty good quote on one too. But I’ve decided to keep my Dinan CAI. Still a high-end intake and reputable brand. Plus, Dinan has their own warranty system where if dealer claims an issue has arised from the intake, Dinan will cover it. Or at least from my understanding.

Does anyone have any experience with Armaspeed? The aluminum intake should work with engine bracing.

We sell a good number of Arma speed intakes, they offer high-quality parts with spot-on fitment.

The Eventuri does accommodate the strut braces. Even the BMS versions…

Edit: the only problem I currently have is that the connection from the intake tube to the turbo inlet is not solid with just the silicon hose and hose clamps.
…looks like they've realized this and have a new adapter included…but they've yet to answer my query on how to get one.
