Thanks for your information. Seems like that I do not need to worry about if it is taper or plug thread.

I had some high heat spray paint I bought a while ago to paint my BBQ grill and just used that. Probably overkill, but any high heat paint should work fine. It likely doesn't even get hot enough to need it, but I had the paint so I figured, why not.

Done mine now and car handles much better at high speed and turns, I also painted the brace and the top lid cover.
I was gonna skip on the 4x 07147270121 but BMW manual states renew and i also read more about the reasons, here is brief info: A torque to yield fastener (TTY) or stretch bolt is a fastener which is torqued beyond the state of elasticity and therefore undergoes plastic deformation, causing it to become permanently elongated. I thought i was gonna mess up the tapping process as i never done it - i cleaned the holes, applied WD40 then using drill driver i slowly turned the M10x1.5 tap in and then slowly drilled it out and finished by cleaning it and testing bolts Mod declared to the insurance, £20 uplift for the remaining 6 months term This is BOM from Berry Cobham BMW Description Part Number Quatity Price Total Connection, Upper Rear 51648491817 1 £69.11 £69.11 Strut Brace Front 51617456115 2 £34.30 £68.59 Hexagon Screw With Flange 51716966566 4 £6.13 £24.53 Torx Screw With Collar 07147270121 4 £2.75 £10.99 Here is the summary of all bolts that need torque applied during the installation process, taken from the M340i workshop manual. Note that seems strut bolts also need to be renewed if removing it and putting it back on again. And also with the brace across MST intake is still accessible and air filter can slide out for cleaning without removing the brace. With stock intake it will not be the case, so another reasons to get MST intake
