Have some good news!
My 330i M-Sport is at Southampton and awaiting transport to the Main Dealer for ‘checking’ and should be available in a ‘few days’ for collection.
At least wheels appear to be in motion!

You can get the order number from your dealer and ask the BMW online Genius the status of your car.
You can follow it through the production process.
Guys, could you please elaborate on how did you contact BMW Genius in UK? I thought it only works in US? Thanks!

Go to BMW configurator.
When the BMW chat line opens at the bottom of the page you can chat to the BMW Genius.
Have your order number ready.

Thanks a lot! As I assumed it only works for the orders placed in UK, but it was worth trying. Hope BMW will someday introduce it globally.

I collected the 330i today!
From date of ordering it took 2 days under 10 weeks and yes, worth waiting for!
A short drive on suburban roads shows it runs quiet with very little engine noise and with the 19” wheels a smooth ride. The steering has a nice positive feel.
The Portimao Blue is brilliant!
Yes! I am going to much enjoy this motor for sure!
NB I did not go for the Ceramic coating.

Out on a long run in the new motor today, the G20 330i M-Sport and there is no doubt to the family that the ride on the 19” wheels is more comfortable than the F30 320D on 18” wheels.
So all more doubts have been quelled!
It is a fine motor indeed!

After much thought after two oil burners on the trot decided to go petrol. Will much miss 60mpg at 70mph but it will be good to hear a nice tick over on idle but will not miss the smell of diesel on my hands on a fill up!

The spec:-
Portimao Blue
M Sport Braking System
M Sport Differential
Lumbar Support
Oak wood trip dash
Parking Assistant
HK speaker system
Tech package
M-sport plus Package
Driving Assistant Professional
Steering wheel heating
Extended Storage

NO sliding glass roof! Had it on three cars in succession and never used! Just defeats aircon but no doubt ideal for smokers!

It is a blow that BMW have gone for ‘Package’ selection of extras and not by individual items. MB have gone the same way. Collusion?
But they say it’s due to environmental reasons. We have a lot to thank the environmentalists for! It’s just pay up all the time, it’s good for us!

This being my forth BMW I guess I am hooked!
I tried to do a break and go MB but when the Salesmen after a deal of conversation told me he thought that BMW drove better(!!!) I decided to stay with BMW. A slip of the tongue, but it probable cost him a car!
I am glad to say I have ordered the identical car.
I think grey looks amazing.
