G26 winter wheel options

I’m considering getting an M440i xdrive GC. What are the options for winter wheel packages? Tire rack has nothing listed. I’d prefer 18” wheels with X-ice or blizzaks (no fun flats), but am having a hard time getting confirmation on compatibility on any tire site. I assume 245/45 R18 is the right tire size.

If I can't figure this out for the 4, I'm leaning towards the M340i instead. I'd prefer the G26, but I gotta have winter wheels sorted out on whatever - it's a deal breaker.

Anyone with a G26 have winter wheel info they can share?

BMW offers solutions, so you should be able to replicate something through Tire Rack or Discount Tire (which has bought Tire Rack):

17-inch (I'd make absolutely sure they will clear the brakes):

Just the wheels in 18-inch:

BTW, the 440 GC is one of the best BMWs I've ever had--and I've had a bunch of them.

Why not just buy winter tires for the G26 factory wheels and upgrade to a better aftermarket setup for summer? I just bought a set of Vredestein Wintrac Pro winter tires for the stock style 791m wheels. 225/40/19. Normally I'd go with Blizzaks but I decided to try out the Vredestein this time around. I also have a summer wheel and tire setup for my M340i xDrive so I don't have to constantly swap tires out.

Not a bad idea but…. I live in a land of giant potholes. Much rather have a square 18” wheel setup for winter if possible. I’m thinking of the stock staggered 19” for summer.

Definitely agree on having two sets of wheels. Swapping tires is too much work.

I hear ya. I was just trying to think of a cost effective option. I was going to do 18s with winter tires but, while I love the style 791m wheels, they just aren't wide enough for me. My summer wheel and tire setup is 19x9.5 +22 squared with 255/35/19 tires. I'd venture to say that most options for the G20 would fit the G26. Just search for 2020 M340i options on Tirerack. And find something relatively close to the offset that either your stock wheels are or something you would be happy with. Don't forget to plug the info into the wheel and tire calculators to ensure that they will fit.

I use this one:

Op just stay away from Blizzaks and go for the Michelins if you have the option. Last much longer and great traction.

So I am leaning toward using the factory wheels on my winter set, pairing with Michelin Alpins and just going aftermarket for summer. Thoughts?

Definitely.

Still not sure what I’m going to do. Very close to putting in an order on the car. Will get staggered 19”. Looking for 18” wheels for snow tires. Will either try to order 18” OEM 858M or some other aftermarket wheel if I can figure it out.

Car would likely arrive in Jan or Feb so I’ll need the winter setup immediately.
