Car quieter after 11/2023.5 update

I just installed the RSU from 3/2023 to 11/2023.5 and then also recoded my bimmercode stuff. I also have an sst exhaust flap thingy. I now notice that my car is substantially quieter when valves are open or when I leave the valves in OEM mode (option C) with M1 or M2 active. The car used to crackle much more audibly, and was overall much louder. Much more tame now. What on earth could have changed?

It seems that BMW has coded out the "burbles". My car ('24) never had them to begin with.

I just updated my 22 comp x to 11/2023.50 and it sounds the same to me loudness wise. But I seem to think there is one extra pop at the end of my burbles now too.

So for me, not any louder. But they seem to last a nano second longer.

My 22 updated Sunday, haven't noticed anything. Rain here so I wasn't driving it hard either though

Edit: Mine sounds the same to me

I also have a PSI midpipe, when I would get on it with valves open the burbles seemed so much more aggressive with 3/2023. I thought it was the sound of the actual exhaust, as I could hear it well with windows open. Even with windows open now it seems quieter. So strange.

I have 11/2023 and nothing has changed about my car.

Make sure your M Sound Exhaust button (center console) is on, that controls burbles for the most part.

Dammit, I just downloaded mine but haven't installed it yet. I may wait a few days to see of anyone else is having the same outcome.

Does it seem as if your car is more responsive now with the upgrade ? Some have said they notice it is.

Only with ID8. The processor in ID7 isn't powerful enough.

That's true, it doesn't take much for them to pile on.

I just updated my ‘22 with the 11/2023 update over the weekend.

Strangely enough, my carbon bucket seat felt so much tighter. I could barely move my ass and exiting car is such a pain now.

Oh wait.. never mind, it’s most likely the double cheeseburger i had for dinner was the culprit.

Careful. You'll trick the people on here that think an infotainment software update can make this car land on Mars.

It felt to me like:
- burbles last a bit longer in Sport Plus (for engine) - D2 or D3 for transmission
- Gear shifts in D2 have become extremely smooth
- There seems to be a bit more responsiveness low down - could be my imagination.

I'm willing to bet real money it is most certainly your imagination.

Likely just a placebo effect. BMW can quiet the burbles if they wanted to. Those are not needed and add no performance. Easily tuned out. Not a big fan of the burbles. No offense to anyone but those remind me of clapped out Honda’s with the 3 foot spoiler.

Feels the same to me. But then again, I drive mine 10 miles round trip to and from work during rush hours. So I hardly get a chance to step on it much. But just taking off from a light feels the same to me.

After sitting in the car again, it just seems like BMW might have made the flaps less open than before when idling or at lower rpm (e.g. flaps at 50% when below 2k rpm, to perhaps, flaps at 30% when below 2k rpm)

The flaps always barely opened if you're not on the throttle without a valve controller.

Guys lol. There's no changes with the update, it's all placebo.

I have a valve controller and I leave it in OEM mode, option C on the SST controller. Leaving M1 and M2 to control the valves normally. Exhaust used to sound much more audible when I would flip M1 on and off.
