0-60 so far is 3.71

I was pretty wary when buying one of these (I bought secondhand and had it reprogrammed) but it was simple to install and the car drives normally just faster, somehow I was expecting it to be jerky or not as smooth (Map 7 is not smooth for me) So far I'm impressed and also like the fact that you can turn it on/off as you wish.

Racechip are very responsive if you reach out to them and they sent me a new wiring pack for the chip and the new software for the MHT car to update in the app via Bluetooth.

I'd still like a Remap when it's available but as a halfway house I'm pleased with the racechip.

Shoot, with most vehicles, you have to "go through the firewall" just to install a decent bass thumper.

Fortunately for those with the 3 (or 4) series that isn't required because the amp and connections you need are all already in the trunk / back. GC models are perfectly setup for a simple graft onto a 12" (16" in mine) bass pump in the back.

Similar experience. Map 6 worked better for me than 7.

What setting are you guys using Sport or Race? I just got my 2022 m340i and want to get a racechip GTS black, but I see two versions on their website. One is for the non-MHT which adds 88hp and 112 torq and the other one is for the MHT but only adds 68hp and 81 torq. Could I get the non-MHT version even though I have the mild hybrid?

No, the one I bought used was from a non MHT M340i and I asked racechip that question and they said it couldn't be used on my MHT model without being reprogrammed (which they did free of charge)

I think day to day I'll use mine on Sport map 5.

How well does this work on 2021-2022 vehicles with locked DME's? The accounts I've read of those using a JB4, for example, with on vehicles with post 6/20 software range from no difference to pretty dramatic.

The locked DME only affects flash tunes.

Jb4, Race chips are piggybacks. It'll still work the same on these models

Nice, thanks for the info. I’m glad the power delivery is pretty smooth as well; was worried that it would be jerky. What octane gas are you using? I’m only able to get 91 here in California.

I've been using 99 Octane here but I believe we measure it differently over in the uk ours is 99 Ron and I believe yours is MON and 91 MON in the Us sits around 95-97 Ron here…That's my understanding anyhow

the US uses a mix of 2. 99 RON is close to 94 octane

On the fence with Racechip. Want to get for my 2021 M440i but nervious it might damage something in the engine or not work at all. Been trolling on all the forums and youtubing the pros and cons. Anyone install on a 2021 M440i?

It's not going to damage anything; if these tunes were not safe, the manufacturer would be shut down by now by all the lawsuits.

I also used the Racechip on my G80 M4 and loved it.

Give it a try; you won't regret your decision. We also have it on a 20% sale this week.

I just ordered the GTS Black, shipped in less than 24 hours. Looking forward to installing and seeing what it does. I see a lot of people asking, "what if something goes wrong'' but I've yet to see a post where something has gone wrong. One question, if BMW does a software upgrade could it effect the Race Chip in any way?

Looks like their site you pay import tax on so was wondering if there was another way.

Has anyone actually done any Dyno runs with it on to see if you get power suggested ?

I ended up getting the JB4. Had to send it to my FL place since they were only allowed to ship some stripped down version to CA.

I've not put mine on the dyno but frankly that number is irrelevant to me anyway, I'm happy with the proven gains in speed/acceleration shown by dragy runs with and without the racechip and also by how it feels.
