Didnt got an ota upgrade s i flashed 11/20 to my headunit. Works fine. Got a notification on my phone that AA was available. But i had no sound coming from BT or USB (radio worked) as in the solutions said, hard reset of the idrive fixed thos)

Turned everything of and went to bed.

Next morning. I started car, headunit worked fine. But no more android auto. And when i go to check the version number, it still says 11/19.

Anyone has an idea why HU reverted back to "old version". If i calculate tal, there are 2 blue files. No red ones...rest is all black. So i assume the idrive is at the highest I-level. Why doesnt it show or where is the AA.


Or do i need to update the SVM shipping in orde to make these changes work?

you've not reverted, it will still be on the same istep. it's more likely your FSC codes / connected drive. go to apps, right click and update services, see if that brings it back

Appears you used E-sys to flash/update your firmware. If so, the i-step is not automatically updated. To update i-step using Esys:
1) go to Expert Mode --> VCM;
2) select the "Master" tab; and click on "I-Steps" --> Read. The "Integration steps" boxes should update.
3) enter the new i-step in the "I-Step (current)" box e.g. 20-11-545
4) click on "I-Steps" --> Write

Do not recommend changing "Integration steps" "I-Step (shipment)"

FYI, it took a few days for BMW to update/add OTA the FSC for AA when I updated my HU...

Seem to have done the trick. updated manually the i-level current. Its now updated to 11/20. Now we just wait untill BMW decides to update the headunit
