I’m confused at the black fins which look more like blocks they added to the outside of the front bumper.

I don’t mind the grill honestly I bet in 2 years people love it

In fact people absolutely hated the 2020 M340 grill this kid I know told me it was ugly that same kid 2 years later says he likes it now.

The same as Kale it might be an acquired taste that takes time to come around.

They are losing with the decals that are on with 3M they downgrade the look just my opinion.

Aside from that I love the 4. I owned a 16’ 435i GC and will always have good things to say about that car it was amazing. Now the 2020 M340 that’s on a whole new level of fun.

Well, at least want until their lease is up. Then it’s time to swap for the latest and greatest, or whine because the manufacturer didn’t consult with them on a new design.

Real car people appreciate something about many cars and buy the ones they like the most.
Well the sales numbers will reveal a lot 🤣

Like I said in another thread, 4 sales in the US fell 41% in 2019. BMW enthusiasts apparently didn’t like heritage of the 4 enough, so a radical makeover was inevitable if they wanted to keep the 4 series alive.

The world just seems to be obsessed by SUVs now and everything looks identical. I look forward to, one day, a renaissance of proper body styles...

A large part of this is emission standards. The way they enacted the laws made it easier to hit targets + better margins (and thus profitability) on trucks / SUVs / etc than cars. So manufacturers marketed and shifted to building more SAV / SUV / light trucks.

While there's a lot to be said for the practicality aspects if you have to have just one vehicle that can do it all....ideally I'd rather have a 2-door coupe for daily needs and a more dedicated / hardcore SUV / truck for the weekend activities.

Within the next couple years I plan on having a G22 M440 and one of the new Broncos in my garage to do exactly that. Not gonna lie though - I may just end up back with another Ram 1500, we'll see.

I agree 100%. An M4 Gran Coupe is at the top of my list...wish they would make it for 2022. I am getting an M3 or M4 but for now I love my M340

Ford listened to customers pre-purchasing the Bronco w/ Sasquatch package. People kept saying "wish we could get a manual option" and they said "ok fine we'll do it, here's your manual + sasquatch option".

I'd hope that with sufficient numbers of people behind it, BMW would similarly listen for manual options...
