I want a more "affordable" RS3 or RS4 Avant instead of this out of reach RS6 But this is a good start I supposed. Hope it sells well to convince more manufacturers to start bringing sports wagons back!

now that BMW have lost its distinctive identity of being RWD with a manual-----this RS6 is really the king of the hill since the playing field has been equalized. Looks amazing too

Any speculation on the US price? I'm thinking it will start at $90K 😬. Using the RS5 and M5 starting price as my guide, with both of those at at $74K and $102K, respectively

It's priced slightly above the M5 in the UK. I'd guess $105-$110k for us. Or pretty much exactly the same as the E63S wagon.

yeah you're probably close to right.

RS7 starts at $115k in the US.

i've been told the RS6 will be cheaper than the RS7.

by my calculations of UK pricing and adjusting for UK VAT taxation this comes out to high 90s/low 100s.

Front end reminds me of the Acura Type S concept haha

This thing looks amazing though. I love wagons. I had a photoshop of the F80 M3 wagon as my desktop for quite some time.

Not sure how to feel about the area where the cup holders are. Then again. if I was driving it I probably would not care in the least

I'm not a wagon guy but props to them.

Hopefully this is a sign that Audi is going to bring more wagons over to the US (I'm looking at you RS3 )

Time for everyone and their mother to put their money where their mouth is... its' coming to the USA. All you wagon lovers don't disappoint Audi now...

My personal assumption is total sales for this car in the US will be under 50 lol.

Would love to see an RS4 Avant, as this is a bit out of my league. If I got this, I'd have no money for airplane stuff. I thought hard and long about an AMG E63S the last time around. It's great to see some competition here though. I'd buy one of these long before some stupid SUV that I'm not going to off-road to any real extent.

Wow, gorgeous wagon, I can't wait till they come stateside and we finally have the availability to test drive one!

Now its BMW's turn to bring over an M3/5 Wagon, which sadly won't happen probably

There is no M5 Touring to bring over. Like the E63 Estate, this RS6 Avant would not be coming to the US if it weren't coming to Europe and other parts of the world.

There is also no M3 Touring to bring over. And even if there were, like the C63 Estate and RS4 Avant, given the tiny volume, there would not be enough margin to make a business case. You need sizable margins ($100k+ transaction prices) to make the numbers work on these cars.

Yes, I know this, which is why I stated BMW won’t ever bring/make a wagon M variant, despite having the resources and money to do so. But then again, they make the X6 M for some ungodly reason, Audi will likely do special-order only, I don’t see why BMW couldn’t do something similar to save some money
