All of the recent M cars are looking good, would be a real shame if they botch up the main event

Based on the "EX" sign in the back, which is UK specific, I'm assuming the picture was taken at Hams Hall, which means this is the engine production line. Chances are, what we see is what we get if it's here already.

If any cars go up in value, if at all, my money would be on old M cars, you know, when M cars had dedicated engine, specific to only the M models.

wonder if this is one of those accidental on purpose leaks? i doubt it.. if any thing it looks as if it was leaked by a mercedes employee

M8 probably has them all around

The all wheel drive helps the m8 immensely tho. That's why they probably didn't need the wider tire

The hood line looks very similar to the 4concept. Humps or raised sections over each kidney.

Uhh NO - nobody complained about F80/82 styling or design.
Main issue was sound and move to turbo from N/A.

I see these kinds of posts throughout this thread. Implication being that concern over the new gen is misplaced paranoia, just history repeating itself, and the G80 will turn out awesome just like the rest. This point of view denies the reality that car companies, their identities and core characteristics do in fact change. Once upon a time…

- Audi made (only) total shitbox cars.
- American performance cars were good for straight line only.
- 911’s were a total handful anywhere close to the limit.
- Mercedes are for retirees.
- Cadillac + performance = laughable.
- BMW M made understated, driver focused, rear-wheel drive, naturally-aspirated cars. Which of these characteristics apply to the G80?

It really is possible that M division is cooking something up here that won’t strike a chord with driving enthusiasts who have been around and stuck with BMW since the E36 era.
