Well I'm holding onto my M3CS for a long time. I see the F80's going up in value or holding steadily if this monstrosity of a grill is what we are being offered. No thanks BMW.

It is definitely a polarizing design - if they had made the damn grilles more proportional to the rest of the front end, it might have been more universally praised. I bet other things are toned down in the production version, but not the grilles...

Given how hard it is going to be to get an F87 CS, and the likely price attached to it, I am guessing I will be looking elsewhere as well.

I was wondering the same thing - if this is indeed the new direction, and it appears to be so, then I guess we should expect something similar for the new M2.

The vertical vs. horizontal grilles don't bother me that much - it COULD look good and cool IF they were proportional to the rest of the car. Neither the X7 or the 4 concept grilles achieve proportionality with the rest of the car, which makes them look almost like they were tacked on at the end.

And because they're so huge, that's all your eyes tend to see...
Agreed if anything like the CSL homage for the new M2 it will be killer

Looks great !

Seems like BMW is making bold design statements as of late and that's a good thing. Enough of this boring "more evolutionary than revolutionary" approach, we have Benz for that. Initially there will be noise (don't confuse with nose ), but masses will learn to like it and will line up to spend money on it.

Next step...BMW please fix the boring G30 at the LCI !

That grill is so bad, it makes Jamie Foxx look better in a blonde wig and lipstick than that f*cking concept car.

Let me just say I think the proportions on this concept look sleeker and more attractive than the renderings I've seen. I didn't really like it at first, but it is kind of growing on me slowly. Let's hope that BMW maintains those lines and edges.

Might be ok in person but they could have revised the entire car and just modernized the kidney grills versus revamp the entire front. Definitely keeping my F80 now.

They did say that 85% of the concept will make it to the production vehicle. Maybe that 15% was contingent on the people’s reaction to the grill. Hopefully they’ll change it!

I LOVE BMW and the NEW GRILL... MAKES THE F80/82 look old and geriatric. :happy anim:
The render wasn't that far off dude.
Right?! Pretty much spot on

Beautiful Lexus. But seriously a good looking car concept. Unfortunately production version will be toned down, as always...

I like it better than I thought actually. It's cool. Better than the renderings, imo.

But the production version will be toned down and look worse for sure.

The production version will take whatever good design cues from this concept and tone it down 200% to the point it doesn't even matter. Unfortunately the grill isn't going to shrink in size so either way its bye bye BMW for me. Besides the M850 everything they've been doing since the F80 has been a miss for me and this one just hideous
