Time for all fluid change

Well, I'm at 50k miles and going near balls out with the build. Doing a new DAW turbo, S58 injectors, DO88 manifold, some do88 coolers, and a SPool HP350 HPFP.

With that said, it is time to change out the trans filter and fluid as well as the DIFFs and the transfer case.

My question is that my car is a 2022 m340i and I'm seeing on the FCPeuro site they recommend a $456 filter versus just a $150 one on the 2020s. Is there a difference in the transmission filter for the mild-hybrid cars? I really wanted to upgrade to the deeper aluminum pan if possible. Has anyone with a mild hybrid gone to the aluminum pan?

Just so you're aware, a valve needs to be opened electronically in the transfer case to get all the oil out. ISTA+ does this, obviously; not sure which cheaper tools will (Bimmerlink doesn't).

Interesting. Wasn't tracking that. Well, guess that may be one thing I have to have the dealer do.

Would any issues arise from draining as much fluid as possible without activating the valve and then refilling the case and resetting the adaptations with an NT530?

Edit: I hooked up my Foxwell NT530 and it is capable of performing both the fluid change service function and the adaptation reset for the transfer case- the corresponding list in the scanner is under service functions, not special functions.

That's interesting. I have a NT710 and planning on doing all my fluids this summer. I'll have to check if it's available for mine too.
