I’ve seen lots of posts regarding upgrading the Hifi system but not the HK. I’ve been exploring the Alpha one by Bimmertech speakers/woofer/amp for my dads M240i with the Hifi for a Christmas/birthday gift. The overall improvement seems massive for the Hifi to the Alpha one but I haven’t seen any reviews going from the HK. I’d be curious if the swap would be worth it. The price tag on the Alpha one equipment is out there. The amp upgrade alone for the HK is almost $3k in CAD pricing. Is there that much left out on the factory amp?

Just upgrading the woofers is tempting but from what I gathered from reviews is if you’ve ever had a “real” system in the past that you’ll be let down by the subtitle bass increase. Another option is installing a 8” in the trunk cubby spot. I wouldn’t expect a whole lot of bass but the ease of install with the battery in the truck is nice.


Any car audio guys in here with recommendations? It’s getting harder and harder to find a knowledge car audio shop. Thanks!

I installed the Match 10 DSP, Match under seat subs and Bavsound speakers all around.
Huge improvement in HK sound.

Late to the reply, have Up10 amp and Match under seat woofers. on HK system. huge improvement. but the tune needs to be adjusted more.
