For sure, there is some geo-fencing, for instance, speed limits assist has not been working for me in Serbia the last 3 years, but now all of a sudden it actually works. Other than that, I have no prior experience with any service that’s not working based on location.

Regarding the pieces and all, I might be able to sort some things cheaper locally and then the only thing that would be left would be the kafas module, and most probably the wiring.
Anyway, from what i gathered there are 2 variants as of now :
1. The entire package which is 3200 $ + shipping , and then your time for coding/guidance
2. Buying kafas 750$ + shipping + coding/guidance , and after getting a list of requirements based on the car , the price of the parts sourced locally.

This really got me pumped as my previous car had openpilot, and I used it A LOT.

Both prices including shipping. The entire kit including shipping + programming.So no additional charge on that. Only thing missing in that list is the windshield.

If you only get the KAFAS you will need additional cost of programming.

SaNGRia please could you tell me if you are able to drive hands off in traffic mode below i think its 40mph without the steering lighting up yellow asking you to put your hands back?

I already have Driving Assistant Professional but without this feature. If i'm moving below 40mph i can go hands off but only for 10 seconds, i just need to tap the steering wheel and then i have another 10 secs.

I've see other people with Driving Assistant Professional that can drive (i think it's 40mph) hands off.

In Serbia speed limit assist was not working (maybe now is enabled by default, on my car is working with coding), automatic speed limit assist need to be coded, highway exit assist need to be coded, for Yield signs i don't know?

When i come to Serbian border my car shows that traffic light assist and emergency corridor are not working (also in Macedonia and Bosnia).

In Slovenia and Austria remote 3D View is not working.
Speed cameras are also not working in all European counties.
I have from factory DAP and PA+.

I know that cars made for Serbia, Bosnia and Macedonia don't have FSC for speed limit assist and was not possible to enable it with simple coding.

Here are some pics of options that need to be coded or cannot be coded (working in some Europen countries). Sorry, emergency corridor, remote 3D view and speed cameras are in Slovenian language.

I have 2 G20. One with Original DAP came from factory one with retrofitted. I can tell you that one with retrofitted is better since my steering has HOD emulator just like i put it on my F85 .

The Assist Plus comes on both of my vehicles and i do not like it since then activates the DCS on the dash and lets you look at the road constantly which i cant even look at right or left with my head turned otherwise it aborts with a hard brake in 3rd warning. But it does allow touchless driving till 45 mph on a multi lane highway with the traffic detected after stopping multiple time.

It also comes on my retrofitted G20 but i dont need Assist Plus since my emulator allows me to drive all time without touching the wheel in any speed and any condition : )

Are you experiencing traffic in highway or narrow ways like in his video?

Emulator can be installed on your steering wheel to overwrite HOD!

It's mostly motorway (freeway) traffic and can be start-stop for 10 miles with speeds of 20-30mph. Every 10 secs i have to touch the steering wheel to cancel the yellow light.

I've been reading more about this and i think you can't have Assist Plus in the UK or Europe, so my only hope will be to have a look at the emulator.

Currently my car come with the following options.
S5AC - High-beam assistant
S5AL - Active Protection
S5AS - Driving Assistant
S5DN - Parking assistance system Plus
I believe I already have the SAS module, but I cannot confirm on this.
Anyone can help?

Youll only have the SAS module if you have 5AU. Otherwise for 5DF (ACC) the MRR is connected to the KAFAS camera and there is no SAS module. And 5AS is just 2 radars in the rear as opposed to all 4 (or 5) in the 5AU setup. In ista, BMW refers to the SAS module as optional extra system.

Hi, i believe the SAS module is from the 5AS Driving Assistant.
For Lane Departure Warning, it will steer the steering when you cannot keep on the lane or during a corner, it will adjust the steering to ensure enough turn
For Lane Change Warning, it will vibrate the steering when no signer given.

For 5DF or 5AU, will need harness to connect to the SAS module.

I maybe wrong that 5AS SAS is different with 5DF/5AU SAS.

There is no SAS module in driving assistant, 5AS or adapative cruise control, 5DF. In 5AS there are 2 blind spot monitors at the rear of the vehicle, connected to each other and the BDC and that is it. None at the front, no radar or triple KAFAS camera. In 5DF the front cruise control radar is connected directly to the KAFAS cameras and that alone, still no SAS. In 5AU all 4 blind spot monitors (remember only 2 come on 5AS cars) are connected to the SAS module along with the front radar and possible connections to the TRSVC and PMA.
In short, only G20/G21 equipped with the triple KAFAS camera have SAS modules equipped.

Hello All,

I just wanted to rapport back, on my order from sangria, it arrived 2 weeks ago, and in the mean time I found the right installer.
I must say, I am impressed, the equipment seems new or newish. The packaging was so that it survived unscathed from China to Denmark, excellent. A couple of images for reference. I will return when all the equipment is installed, hopefully mid September.
