I got confirmation from my local dealer that 51 16 6 997 207 and 51 16 6 997 205 cannot be ordered at the moment. They couldn’t tell me when they can be
ordered … .

BMW told me that as well when submitted a parts ticket for these. I was told to place an order and they would reach out to the manufacturer to see when these would be available. Could be 1 month to 12 months.

Expected delivery end of next week. (216€ each, owch …) Hope it are the right ones this time!

To bad, I just got a cancellation that BMW cannot deliver these parts at the moment. How is that possible? They are installing them currently on the M3, M4, 4 coupe and cabrio.

Maybe tight supply issues, and BMW are holding parts for new builds? I was hoping that you were onto a winner here!

Finally they arrived. The leather knee pads for my G20. Tonight or tomorrow I’ll fit them on my car and show the final result.

Part numbers:
51 16 9 502 525
51 16 9 502 519

Those part numbers represent the blach leather ones with grey stitching. Price? 200€ each.

Note: they can only be ordered via your local dealer on request.

Do they really fit on a G20? Some swearing and two bleeding fingers later. (Overall installation time 15 - 20 minutes).

To lift the back end of the center trim was not difficult. Just put a trim tool onder the two black clips and it pops up. The front part I did not remove as it didn’t want to work with me. Eventually it was not needed to lift the front end.

Looking Good! Just ordered mine! I have the feeling I'm going to end up replacing the basic leatherette armrest to leather with the gray stitching to match. Luckily these match my leather padded dash.

Yes, under the leather there is a soft padding present. Let’s say around 1 cm (0.5 inch) of soft foam.

Expensive shipped to me in Canada but this it going to be a life saver daily and even more on track !

Only at the driver side? Note that the hight and shape is different from the standard ones. Not sure how it will look if you keep it as-is on the passenger side …

Thanks for pointing it out, I had not noticed the huge difference but it can be seen by looking at the pictures in this thread.

I changed my order for both sides after looking at pics !
