I saw my phone notified me of the new app coming soon, but I'm still using the old Connected app. Why on earth I would want to switch and end up losing the above features...

I particularly love the door & window status and ability to lock the car remotely. I'm lucky if I remember I even have a car sometimes, let alone remember to lock it.

Okay, that may be a bit of an exaggeration...but still.

Whereas with some jerry rigging BMW Connected allowed me to have my Spotify app up and running with the album covers, this new app rendered Spotify completely useless.

Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Are you sure you’ve lost some of these features as I have them in the UK. Not obvious where they ‘hide’ them.

Remote 3D view - underneath the lock and unlock icons on the first screen where you have Vehicle Finder, swipe that icon to the left. Do you see it?

Windows Sunroof - tap the picture of your car and it takes you to another menu view where you have:
- Doors & Windows
- Check Control Messages
- Services

Ah yes, didn't realize those icons could be swiped. Remote 3D view found!

As for sunroof, trunk, hood opened or closed, the BMW Connected app broke those out separately, in addition to doors and windows, giving a status for each one individually. Now it's one category "All doors and windows", either open or closed. Maybe not a huge thing, but it'd be nice to know exactly what is open or closed, and if I intentionally left one of them open (sunroof?), knowing that the rest of them are closed

Glad you got it. Double check the windows and doors as I 'think' if you just leave the sunroof open, it will tell you. Might be wrong but thought I saw that before.

What phone do you have? how did you get this too work?

Downloaded it and tried it out...seems to work okay, all the previous functions are there, just a different interface. Not sure if I can say it's better or not, but it looks more modern and current.

Haven't tried any of the remote functions yet, but I'll run the remote ventilation this afternoon and see how that goes...

One issue I'm having is it keeps switching back and forth between km and miles...and I don't know why!

In the app under the FAQ's it says:

"The My BMW App takes over the specified distance and measurement units for the selected region of your smartphone."

So at times when I open the app it'll show liters and km and then switch to gallons and miles.

EU folks with 45e, can you see the Charging History on the home page of the app? (i saw it on demo videos a few months back.) it's not showing here in the US.

Yes I can see every charging session with details. And also the total kWh charged each month.

The picture was with a public charger yesterday but it does the same with my "normal" BMW charger at home (that would take more than 10 hours). I don't have a wall charger at home but I think it is the car it self and not the charger.

Do you get a message on year phone when your car is connected? I get a message on my Iphone and watch when I connected and the estimated full charge time.
