Not a huge fan of the lights, but this 3er has potential to be the last good looking BMW ever made - assuming production goes to 2025

That's the same wing on my M4. I don't think it works as well on a 4 door, but it's not comically huge.

I honestly prefer the notched headlights, was a nice reference to the E46.

I still can’t like the Pre LCI and this is no better. Even the G80 doesn’t look quite right to me, and I don’t mean the grilles either.
I do really like the new M4, the profile works very well. These new 3 series just look completely wrong to me. Like a jelly that’s half melted. |

I think it's going to look great! Definitely following the cues of the X3 M40i LCI. That wing doesn't fit but I know it'll be at most an option if desired. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

The wing looks good on the M4 above. Definitely a little out of place on a sedan, even a sports sedan. If they lowered the car and added more carbon parts to go with the wing it might work.

Two words- RACE CAR. Plus I don't need to buy wing mirrors from eBay. I can put that money to a super dope straight pipe so I can beat those damn Q50's!

This fine, kinda old school generic BMW I guess.
But I was hoping for a 4 series style front end. This already looks dated, years behind the 4 series that came out years ago.

If this is the future I think I'm done with new BMWs, I'm just not enjoying the new designs. The power is there, drivetrains are awesome but I just cant enjoy the looks.

I didn't say it's necessarily better, but it's very different and aimed at a very different buyer / use case. As someone who loves the way M cars drive and perform, I'm honestly happy that others can get close to the same looks without the full M driving experience if that's what they prefer. The comfort, cost of maintenance, etc. can be very different between an M340i and an M3 so why should all that be linked to useless stuff like mirrors, bumpers, etc. that a driver shouldn't really care about? |
