I don't need the internet to validate me as a person and being wrong is ok. I was skeptical based on what I saw with the limited information that was given.

grill looks bigger, I wonder if that's going to be across the model lineup or just the i3

Is this front bumper expected to be exactly the same on G20 LCI?
And i see no change in tail lights, compared to current G20 on this i3. Front lights should be the same i assume as on this i3

this is probably the base front bumper and then there will be a m-sport one. Same headlights although we don't know what these are exactly, probably the LEDs so a laser light version could show up.

Still not a fan of that idrive8 screen, glad I've got a '22 on the way.

I kind of like the idrive 8 screen probably because I like gigantic ultra wide screens anyways. My only issue with the screen is that it reaches above the dashboard and isn't integrated with it smoothly. The old design had nice flow lines that made the screen and tech "click" with the interior. This not so much.

I'm assuming the M340 will have a proper gear lever.

That’s what i was wondering. The X7 LCI pics show that they ditched the traditional gear lever for that little switch. It will be interesting to see if they also get rid of it in the M340i.I assume that they will probably keep the gear lever in all of the G20 ICE models because even the i4 still has the traditional gear lever. The dash and screen design will also probably be exactly the same in the G20 LCI.

First time really seeing a good picture of this new dash/screen layout. I'm probably in the minority here, but I would be 100% fine with this screen layout if they just left the physical button strip for the climate controls.

I was at my dealer this week so i decided to take some pics of the screen. It actually isn’t quite as bad as i thought it would be seeing it in person. In the i4 it is integrated into the dash better than in the iX that was also at the dealership.

In the i4 it is much closer to the actual dash than in the iX.In the iX the screen sits quite far off of the dash.It looks terrible IMO.The screen in the i4 is also smaller which is probably another reason why it looks better integrated with the dash.

Here are some pics. The first ones are of the iX and the second ones are the i4.You can see from the pics that the i4 screen sits closer to the dash.It won’t be a fun job cleaning dust in between the screen and the dash.

Yeah, think I prefer the I4 setup as well. I just hate having to dig into menus to change climate functions. Part of the reason I started looking at BMW was because Audi (which I had previously) was going to this all touch screen setup. My wife had a similar setup in an old TLX and I hated that too.

Also, for dusting I use the disposable Swiffers. Makes it easy (when you use the handle) to get to those hard to reach places.

That’s one of the reasons why i ordered the MY22 M340i.I also like the physical buttons. Those new menus look like a huge distraction when you are driving.

I think the screen is well-placed.

I could easily get used to this in all BMWs.

I could live with it if there wasn't an alternative but since '22 are still available I ordered, much prefer the two separate screens with the digital dash sunk in more with the cover over it, gives a jet cockpit feel vs this bolted on screen

The screen looks nice...in the i4. For the M340i - with black trim it should look even nicer - and if you see the screen in the i4 it looks curved whereas the pictures dont really reflect the wrap around screen.

Now just waiting for the M340 LCI to be launched with specs to place the damn order !

With this car beginning production in just a matter of months, I'm surprised we haven't seen the reveal yet. Should be coming very soon I assume...

Interesting… too hard to tell for me if the outline of both match exactly, they do look a tad different in shape/direction.
The previous lights look way better.

Wait a year and the previous lights will look outdated. That's how it works!

Meant these ones. The upside down L (or J) on the LCI makes it look like other cars such as Audi, Ford..
