This is what I was thinking . Bmw is literally already making electric cars for China. This can just be one sitting around over there either being tested or inspected but chances are it's real. Well atleast for the Chinese market.

I would say that there is a good possibility that the m sport models and m340i will retain the same bumpers, but receive the lci headlight/twilights, similar to what happened during the f30 generation.

I don't know but based on the mirror design, being similar as the recently presented M240i, I tend to argue that this is the M340i. Also the side seems to have an m-performance sticker, both adaptations can of course be slammed on any 3-series, so doesn't say too much either.

Great render! I actually quite like it, especially the diagonal upwards lines from the fangs that go on in the central opening.
I always hated the generic Skoda/VW like appearance of the original G20 headlights so to me the new lights are an improvement.

This leak looks very legit. The camouflaged car clearly has an indentical DRL geometry and also the projectors are the same. The picture of the camouflaged car is far to young for some Chinese shop to do an exact copy of the headlight design that quick.

My guess is that the pictures where taken at the factory of a headlight supplier while they did some fitting tests. This would also explain the Audi headlights in the back.

As someone else pointed out this appears to have M mirrors. I also just noticed the M accessories black stripes down the lower door and the little black lip spoiler, bit odd given how smooth and unaggresive the front bumper section is…

IMO F36 has much better taillights than G20/22/26 series. Current G20 laser headlights with L are quite good, also G22 laser light is good also.
