I have had my all black 2021 M440xi since December, and so far, only positive comments on the looks. First time I saw one, I parked my 2018 440i next to it, and thought it made my 440i look outdated, and I loved the way the 440i looked.

Sorry to tell you but that boat is gone. Just like the hofmeister link is about to be. Those are "old" styling cues that need to be changed.

According to head of design, yes. The Hofmeister Kink is an old design that doesn't really fit BMW's moving forward.

Didn't know something that wasn't really noticed needed to be changed…only to continue to go unnoticed and use that as an excuse for "change".

The only comment I have is what if they push the kidney's a bit lower?

Well, I'll confess that this helpful side-by-side comparison only consolidates my love of the M340's current design! So much more distinctive than what's evidently threatening to supersede it.

They would have to redesign the hood then, same reason that the lci headlight shares the same shape along the hood and fender as the pre lci.

Wonder what's hiding under the rear came. Looks like the leaked images of the front herein are spot on.Need a sneak pic of the interior to see if the haphazard looking longitudinal iPad screen is there lol.

I'm excited for the continuous curved screen. Looks more clean and organic. As long as they correct that darn dimming issue during the day with darker window tint, I'll be all about it

I like the current version too but will keep an open mind with this new iteration. For now, G42 RWD is also in consideration next year when my current lease terminates.
