That front bottom grill got too large IMO. Now, there's only a thin piece of plastic separating it from those kidney grills. We all know what will happen next. The attraction is too irresistible. They will mate!! 😉

And the rear giant plastic diffuser is too much. I guess it saves a few gallons of paint on a production line.
Combined, the front and rear make the car look taller like a GT model. 😞

This LCI screams cost cutting. All the way from idrive 8 to the plastic inserts in the bumpers. So happy I got a 22 when I did

The taillights look exactly the same. Were they changed at all? If not, first time I can remember that BMW didn't update them during the LCI on the 3er.

Obviously, we have LED, and laser lights, but what is the third set of headlights? Looks like they went full retard with the lasers... everybody knows you never go full retard.

The 8-Series LCI was extremely subtle. The front grills mesh design was "adjusted" but remained largely the same in shape.

The rear was also very subtle. Nicely upgraded tails and no major bumper fascia changes.

I'll hold my final opinion until we see the M-Sport.

Trying to look closely at the photos and I can't tell for sure if the new IPad style dash/screen is there. It doesn't really look like it to me. I thought that was coming with the LCI...

That's the worst part IMO — the vehicles looking taller than they are — unless you get a black car. It's such a bad design decision.

I think they're going for more of a 5-series look but what they accomplished is it looking more like the FWD 2-series

Wow, sure makes me appreciate my f30 a lot more. The design is ugly and generic and just doesn't look like a bmw at all to me.

I love the pre lci rear lights so I'm not not fussed.

However, the g30 lci ones are pretty much the best In The series at the moment, especially on a dark paint.

Maybe the only change is the interior bulbs
