There was nothing wrong with the current 3 series, should've left it alone.
I hate the fact that BMW seems to be removing fog lights from most models now. |

Normally LCI's are an objective design improvement over pre-lci cars (even if current owners clamor otherwise). However, this is just not. Both the front and back end are discongruous. Original was beautiful.
Last time I remember this happening was when they messed up up the headlights of the LCI E92. However, at least they vastly improved the taillights.

Headlights are very cool, but I don't know how I feel about the exhaust tips looking so small now.

Best looking non-m sport front end on a 3 that I've seen. Or wait, is this m sport? I see an m badge on the front fender, and the rocker panels look a bit aggressive.

Hmm.. doesn't look very good from these photos, in my opinion. It looks more KIA-ish than Germanic and sadly, the exhaust tips are no longer attached to the finishers. Maybe the photos are just bad, but I'm getting the sense of a greater resemblance to the fwd 2 series gc than the pre-lci, and that is no compliment.

Haha… I didn't read the prior comments before I responded, but I ended up saying something very similar

Lmao am I the only one who likes this a lot? I hate the G80, never grew on me, I have a 2021 G20 330xi with Msport and I think this looks great, I'd like to see the potential I3 or an M340i on this model.

Interesting. The headlights are the thing that seem to bug me the most. They almost look too narrow to me.

Looks like the M235i the guy around the corner has. I suppose these days if you want the true BMW aesthetic(s) of yesteryear, you've almost certainly gotta go the ///M route. If not full ///M, most certainly M-Sport. Some of the lower models are starting to resemble their Kousins at Kia. Nothing against Kia really, but I'd like for the styling to be a bit more cutting edge and robust. But I guess I also get that not everyone is blessed like many of us to go full-///Mpulse and foolish have insanely expensive cars. Wow, how many puns and bad jokes can I put in this post?
All things considered though, if I had a choice between the comparable models (Kia, Genesis, Alfa etc.), save the Audi I'm probably sticking w the Bimmer.

I'm diggin' the shape of the grille but it's so damn busy below the grille that this only works in black paint for me. Tail lights are a slight difference but still too thin for what I like. Overall I think it's fine. Not jumping for joy but not disgusted at all.

Right on. Mine looks identical to yours. I was already leaning towards buying my lease in November and now the facelift leaves me no choice...

The same as any other LCI reveal thread...
Pre-LCI owners: "I'm glad I have my <insert model year>!" Same person one year later: "I just traded in for an LCI... what a beast!" |
