Love how someone in the design team was like "what if we just flip the angel eyes" and boom…new design

Sport line bumpers look more handsome and clean than the M Sport, IMO. Too much Civic resemblance in that M340i's front end, especially in red.

Wait, we can share how we feel about the new design on these forums? Last time I shared my opinion about G80 M3 I got blocked out of their forum, still blocked...

Any word if passenger width and lumber are back or if they remain deleted?

What? There's a button for it on the steering wheel already. It won't be ON unless the driver turns it on.

They are some of the softest people I've ever seen. Like it's not our fault you bought the ugliest BMW ever.

In the EU from this summer, mandatory speed limiters are planned to be installed that are on by default . So in theory you cannot exceed the speed limit.
Essentially the same technology that the cars already have so speed limits are in satnav database along with camera reading speed limit signs
This time though it's on by default. Can be overridden with full throttle and I think I'm right in saying that initially you can disable it but it will be on again next time you start the car.

They are now separate options, so you can have one or two Seats

Yes, we know we already have a limit button, that we can choose to use.

The the eu rules are changing to default off to default on:

Dubbed Intelligent Speed Assistance (ISA), the limiters will use GPS data and/or traffic sign recognition cameras to determine the speed limit of the road a vehicle is travelling on. Engine power will then be limited to match this, preventing the car from exceeding the speed limit. It will be possible to override the system for the current journey by pushing hard on the throttle, however the system will be engaged every time a car is started.

Have to see it in person.

On pics, it looks like the car has a bit of an overbite. It appears almost front wheel drive with too big of an overhang. But may be just pics.

I also can sense more and more they want you to buy the Msport. Before there was effort with basic model may be, now it is just an uglier cousin. Here you cant even have bigger wheels on "Sport" version. 17s or bust. What kind of spec option is that.

So overall, considering interior change also - i kind of lean for now to pre-lci. I just saw one the other day in silver (so very first model year), with gloss black trim and in normal bumpers and it looked very smart.

🤔 not sure if there’s sarcasm baked in but I often use the shifter over the paddles if I’m cruising and want to downshift. It’s more comfortable than always having two hands on the wheel

personally I like the screen and the new styling. I don’t like the lack of shifter. If I still had my G21 I wouldn’t upgrade though if I were in a lease.

I see, the article I've read didn't mention that.

The end of freedom is upon us.

They don't even have that much control in Putinland…. Perhaps the Commission and the unelected people that make up the laws, regulations and policies will realise eventually that the Orwellian vision of 1984 is alive and well and they are the ones enacting it! Terrible. Where did freedom and personal responsibility go to ?

I understand that there are paddle shifters. However, isn't a gear shifter just fun pyschologically/emotionally? I like pretending I have an actual true stick shift. I like the tactile feel of resting my hand on my shifter. It's fun. It makes me secure. I can more easily downshift too if I want.

I don't want a little nub. There's nothing empowering or cool in design looking at the little thing. It's air space that I don't want. I want that space elegantly filled with my shifter.

Sometimes, I wonder what happens in their focus groups. I have a difficult time thinking everyone was down with the new nub. I mean, you can't have a cool crystal modification that illuminates at night in a nub.

In the next incarnation, please bring back the upright, sporty looking shifter. I mean, even as a kid, you fake shifted. You can't do that with a nub. That kind of basic lack of imagination doesn't belong in a 3 series. Hope I didn't bore anyone with this post!
